It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talha that on the day of the Battle of Badr, when we were standing in rows, drowsiness overcame us. I was also among those people, and because of this, my sword kept falling from my hand repeatedly, and I would pick it up.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talhah that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the place of Khaybar in the morning, the people of Khaybar had already gone out to their fields and lands for their work. When they saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and an army with him, they turned their backs and fled. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said "Allahu Akbar" twice and said: "When we descend into the courtyard of a people, then the morning of those who have been warned is very evil."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talha that on the day of the Battle of Badr, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that twenty-four leaders of Quraysh be thrown into a dirty and foul-smelling well at Badr. It was the blessed habit of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that when he gained dominance over a people, he liked to stay there for three days. Thus, on the third day of the Battle of Badr, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went towards them and we also went along. We thought that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was going to relieve himself, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the edge of the well and began to call them by their names, saying, "Did you find the promise of your Lord to be true? For I have found the promise of my Lord to be true." Sayyiduna Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Are you speaking to bodies in which there are no souls at all?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Him Who sent me with the truth, what I am saying to them, you do not hear it more than they do."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talhah that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in an extremely pleasant mood in the morning, and signs of happiness were visible on his blessed face. The companions submitted: O Messenger of Allah! This morning your mood is very pleasant, and its signs are visible on your blessed face. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, today a messenger from my Lord came to me and said: Are you not pleased that for anyone from your Ummah who sends blessings upon you once, I will send mercy upon him ten times, and for anyone who sends peace upon you once, I will send peace upon him ten times?

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was sitting with Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b and Sayyiduna Abu Talhah. We ate bread and meat, then I asked for water to perform ablution. Both of them said, "Why are you performing ablution?" I said, "Because of the food we have just eaten." They said, "Will you perform ablution because of lawful things? That person, who was better than you, did not perform ablution because of this."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talha that once a person was reciting the Noble Qur'an in front of Sayyiduna Umar. During this, Sayyiduna Umar prompted him, but the man said, "I recited it like this in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not make any change in it." So both of them went together to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and that man recited the Noble Qur'an to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approved of his recitation. Sayyiduna Umar apparently felt something about this, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umar, the entire Qur'an is correct as long as a person does not change forgiveness into punishment or punishment into forgiveness."
