It is narrated from Abu Shurayh that when Amr bin Sa'id intended to send his army towards Makkah to confront Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair, he went to him and spoke to him and informed him about the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Then he came and sat in the gathering of his people, and I also went and sat with him. He narrated the hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and then, mentioning the reply of Amr bin Sa'id, said: I said to him, "O so-and-so, on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, we were with the Prophet (peace be upon him). The day after the conquest of Makkah, the Banu Khuza'ah attacked a man from Banu Hudhayl and killed him. The slain man was a polytheist. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stood among us to deliver a sermon and said: 'O people, Allah declared Makkah a sanctuary on the day He created the heavens and the earth, so it will remain a sanctuary until the Day of Resurrection. It is not permissible for anyone who believes in Allah and the Last Day to shed blood therein or to cut down its trees. It was not made lawful for anyone before me, nor will it be made lawful for anyone after me, and it was made lawful for me only for a short period because of Allah's wrath upon its people. Beware! Its sanctity has returned as it was yesterday. Let those who are present convey this to those who are absent. And if anyone among you says that the Prophet (peace be upon him) also fought in Makkah, then say: Allah made it lawful for the Prophet (peace be upon him), not for you. O group of Khuza'ah, now withhold your hands from killing, for it is enough. For the person you killed before this, I will pay his blood money. But after my standing in this place, whoever kills anyone, the heirs of the slain will have the choice of two things: either to take retribution from the killer or to accept blood money.' After that, the Prophet (peace be upon him) paid the blood money for the man whom Banu Khuza'ah had killed." Hearing this hadith, Amr bin Sa'id said to Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh, "Old man, go back. We know its sanctity better than you. This sanctity cannot protect a blood-shedder, one who abandons obedience, or one who withholds jizyah." I said to him, "I was present at that time, you were absent, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded us to convey it to those who were absent. So I have conveyed this command. Now it is up to you and your actions."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among all people, the most rebellious in the sight of Allah are three types of people: 1. The one who kills someone in the Haram (sanctuary). 2. The one who kills someone other than his own killer. 3. The one who seeks retribution for blood from the time of ignorance. And by Allah, I will surely pay the blood money for the person whom you have killed. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) paid his blood money.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Walid bin Uqbah that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Makkah, the people of Makkah began bringing their children to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would place his hand on their heads and pray for them. I too was brought to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, I had applied a fragrance called khuluq, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not place his hand on my head. There was no other reason except that my mother had applied khuluq to me.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Laqit bin Sabrah that once I, along with a companion, presented myself in the service of the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), but did not find the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) there. Sayyidah Aisha served us dates and prepared food for us by mixing ghee with flour. Meanwhile, the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) also arrived, bending as he walked, and said: "Have you eaten anything?" We replied: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" During this, a shepherd from among the goat pens presented a kid goat before the Prophet The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked: "Has the goat given birth?" He said: "Yes." The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Then slaughter a goat," and turning towards us, said: "Do not think that we have slaughtered only because of you, but the matter is that we have a herd of goats. When their number reaches one hundred, we slaughter one from them. We do not wish their number to exceed one hundred." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about ablution (wudu)." He said: "When you perform ablution, do it thoroughly and pass your fingers between each other, and when you put water in your nose, do it thoroughly unless you are fasting." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! My wife is very sharp-tongued and rude." The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Divorce her." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! She has been with me for a long time and I have children from her." The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Then keep her with you and continue to advise her. If there is any good in her, she will accept your advice. But do not beat your wife like you would beat your slave-girl."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thabit bin Dhahak that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Cursing a Muslim is like killing him, and whoever kills someone with something in this world will be punished with the same thing in the Hereafter. And there is no vow upon a Muslim man that is beyond his capacity. And whoever accuses a Muslim of disbelief, it is like killing him. And whoever swears a false oath by any religion other than Islam, he will be considered as he has said (for example, Qadiani, Hindu, or Christian).
