Hadith of one who witnessed the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 16585
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered regarding a man that he should be stoned between Mecca and Medina. When stones struck him, he started to run away. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this, he said: Why did you not let him go?

Fanj says that I used to work in 'Dainbaz' (name of a place). During that time, Ya'la bin Umayyah became the governor of Yemen, and some companions of the Prophet also came with him. One of those men came to me while I was irrigating my field. That man had walnuts in his pocket. He sat down on the water channel and started breaking and eating the walnuts. Then that person signaled to me to come to him, saying, "O Persian! Come here." When I went near, he said, "Can you guarantee me that walnut trees can be planted near this water?" I asked, "What benefit will I get from this guarantee?" That person said, "I have heard with these two ears of mine the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever plants a tree and takes care of it and fulfills its needs until it bears fruit, then whatever benefits from its fruit, it will be considered charity for him in the sight of Allah." Fanj asked, "Did you really hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say this?" The man replied, "Yes!" Upon this, Fanj gave him the guarantee, and until now, the walnuts of that place are famous.

It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the plain of Mina seated the people in their places and, delivering a sermon, said: "Let the Muhajirun settle here," and he pointed to the right side of the Qiblah; "and let the Ansar settle here," and he pointed to the left side of the Qiblah; then the people settled around them. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught them the rites of Hajj, which opened the ears of the people of Mina, and everyone in their own encampment could hear the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is narrated that a man named Abu Talha Wa'iz came to Imam Malik and said: "O Abu Abdullah! People stop me from narrating this hadith: 'Send blessings upon Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim, indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious, and upon the family of Muhammad and upon his wives.'"
