Hadith Number: 1509
Saeed bin Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once I said to Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, that I want to ask you about a hadith, but I am afraid to ask you because there is some sharpness in your temperament. He said: Which hadith? I asked: When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, left Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, in Madinah as his deputy on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk, what did he say to him? Sayyiduna Sa’d, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:“Are you not pleased that your relation to me is the same as that of Harun, peace be upon him, to Musa, peace be upon him, except that there is no prophethood after me?”He said: I am pleased. Then he said twice: Why not.
