The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say, "Zahir is our village and we are his city." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved him, even though in terms of appearance he was not attractive. One day, Zahir was standing by his goods, selling them, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came from behind and embraced him, placing his hands over his eyes. He began to say, "Who is it? Let me go."
