حَدِيثُ أَبِي ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 21378
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة ، حدثنا حميد ، عن عبد الله بن الصامت ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: يقطع صلاة الرجل إذا لم يكن بين يديه مثل آخرة الرحل المراة والحمار والكلب الاسود، قال: قلت لابي ذر ما بال الكلب الاسود من الكلب الاحمر؟ قال: يا ابن اخي، سالت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كما سالتني، فقال: " الكلب الاسود شيطان" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there is not even the back part of a saddle in front of a person, then his prayer will be broken if a woman, a donkey, or a black dog passes in front of him. The narrator asked: What is the difference between a black dog and a red dog? Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Dear nephew! I also asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question as you have asked me, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The black dog is a devil.

Hadith Number: 21379
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة ، عن حميد ، عن عبد الله بن الصامت ، قال: قال ابو ذر ، قلت: يا رسول الله، الرجل يحب القوم لا يستطيع ان يعمل باعمالهم؟ قال: " انت يا ابا ذر مع من احببت"، قال: قلت: فإني احب الله ورسوله، يعيدها مرة او مرتين .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah! A man loves a certain people but cannot perform deeds like theirs. What is his status?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), you will be with those whom you love." I said, "Then I love Allah and His Messenger." He repeated this sentence once or twice.

Hadith Number: 21380
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا حماد ، حدثنا ابو عمران الجوني ، عن عبد الله بن الصامت ، عن ابي ذر ، انه قال: يا رسول الله، الرجل يعمل العمل فيحمده الناس عليه، ويثنون عليه به؟ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " تلك عاجل بشرى المؤمن" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a person does a good deed and people begin to praise him and speak highly of him (what is the ruling regarding this?)" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him at that time, "This is an immediate glad tidings for the believer."

Hadith Number: 21381
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، اخبرنا ابو عمران ، عن عبد الله بن الصامت ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: " اوصاني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا طبخت قدرا ان اكثر مرقتها، فإنه اوسع للجيران" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said to him: O Abu Dharr! When you cook food, increase its broth and take care of your neighbors.

Hadith Number: 21382
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله ، حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان ، قال: سمعت داود بن ابي هند ، عن ابي حرب بن ابي الاسود الديلي ، عن عمه ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: اتاني نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وانا نائم في مسجد المدينة، فضربني برجله، فقال: " الا اراك نائما فيه؟" قال: قلت: يا نبي الله، غلبتني عيني، قال:" كيف تصنع إذا اخرجت منه؟" قال: آتي الشام الارض المقدسة المباركة، قال:" كيف تصنع إذا اخرجت من الشام؟" قال: اعود إليه، قال:" كيف تصنع إذا اخرجت منه"، قال: ما اصنع يا نبي الله، اضرب بسيفي؟! فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" الا ادلك على ما هو خير من ذلك واقرب رشدا؟ تسمع وتطيع، وتنساق لهم حيث ساقوك" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was sleeping in the Prophet’s Mosque when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him, shook him by the foot, and said,“Do I not see you sleeping here?”I replied,“O Prophet of Allah! I dozed off.”The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“What will you do when you are expelled from here?”I replied,“I will go to the sacred and blessed land of Shaam.”The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“And if you are expelled from there as well, what will you do?”I replied,“O Prophet of Allah, what else can I do? I will fight with my sword.”The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“Shall I not tell you a better way than this? Listen to them, obey them, and go wherever they take you.”

Hadith Number: 21383
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا ابو عوانة ، عن سليمان الاعمش ، عن إبراهيم التيمي ، عن ابيه ، قال: كنت اعرض عليه ويعرض علي في السكة، فيمر بالسجدة فيسجد، قال: قلت: اتسجد في السكة؟ قال: نعم، سمعت ابا ذر ، يقول: سالت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، اي مسجد وضع في الارض اول؟ قال:" المسجد الحرام" قال: قلت: ثم اي؟ قال:" ثم المسجد الاقصى"، قال: قلت: كم بينهما؟ قال:" اربعون سنة" قال:" ثم اينما ادركتك الصلاة فصل فهو مسجد"، وقد قال ابو عوانة كنت اقرا عليه ويقرا علي .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which was the first mosque built on earth?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Masjid al-Haram." I asked: "Then which one?" He replied: "Masjid al-Aqsa." I asked: "What was the interval between the two?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Forty years." I asked: "Then which mosque?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Then, wherever you find the time for prayer, perform it there, for the whole earth is a mosque."

Hadith Number: 21384
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا همام ، حدثنا قتادة ، عن سعيد بن ابي الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن الصامت ، انه كان مع ابي ذر فخرج عطاؤه ومعه جارية له، فجعلت تقضي حوائجه، قال: ففضل معها سبع، قال: فامرها ان تشتري به فلوسا، قال: قلت له: لو ادخرته لحاجة تنوبك، او للضيف ينزل بك، قال: إن خليلي عهد إلي، " ان ايما ذهب او فضة اوكي عليه، فهو جمر على صاحبه حتى يفرغه في سبيل الله عز وجل" .
Abdullah bin Samit says that once he was with Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) when his stipend arrived. He had a slave girl with him who began to arrange his necessities with that money. She had seven coins left. Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered her to exchange his money (to get change). I said to him, "If you had saved this money, it could have been useful in some need or when a guest arrived." He replied, "My beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me that any gold or silver that is sealed and kept is a spark of fire for its owner until he spends it in the way of Allah."

Hadith Number: 21385
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن يحيى ، حدثني ابو صالح ، عن رجل من بني اسد، ويعلى ، حدثنا يحيى ، عن ذكوان ابي صالح ، عن رجل من بني اسد، ان ابا ذر اخبره، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اشد امتي لي حبا قوم يكونون او يخرجون بعدي، يود احدهم انه اعطى اهله وماله وانه رآني" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people who will love me the most in my Ummah will be those who will come after me, and each one of them will wish that by giving his family and all his wealth, somehow he could see me.

حكم دارالسلام: حسن لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لإبهام الرجل الأسدي
Hadith Number: 21386
حدثنا يحيى ، عن الاجلح ، عن عبد الله بن بريدة ، عن ابي الاسود ، عن ابي ذر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " إن احسن ما غير به الشيب الحناء والكتم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best thing to change the whiteness of hair is henna and katam.

Hadith Number: 21387
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن الاعمش ، عن مجاهد ، عن ابن ابي ليلى ، عن ابي ذر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله كنز من كنوز الجنة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise."
