Musnad of the Ansar
حَدِيثُ أَبِي ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 21368
حدثنا حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم ، حدثنا عبد الحميد ، حدثنا شهر ، حدثني ابن غنم ، ان ابا ذر حدثه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" إن الله عز وجل يقول: يا عبدي، ما عبدتني ورجوتني، فإني غافر لك على ما كان فيك، ويا عبدي إن لقيتني بقراب الارض خطيئة، ما لم تشرك بي، لقيتك بقرابها مغفرة" .
Narrated to us Hisham ibn al-Qasim, narrated to us Abdul Hamid, narrated to us Shahr, narrated to me Ibn Ghanm, that Abu Dharr narrated to him, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: O My servant, as long as you worship Me and hope in Me, I will forgive you for whatever is in you. And O My servant, if you meet Me with the earth full of sins, not associating anything with Me, I will meet you with its like in forgiveness."

Hadith Number: 21369
. 20790 وقال ابو ذر " إن الله عز وجل يقول: يا عبادي، كلكم مذنب إلا من انا عافيته" فذكر نحوه إلا انه قال:" ذلك باني جواد واجد ماجد، إنما عطائي كلام".
. 20790 Abu Dharr said: "Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: 'O My servants, all of you are sinners except the one whom I have pardoned.'" He mentioned something similar, except that he said: "That is because I am Generous, Possessor, Noble; indeed, My giving is but a word."

Hadith Number: 21370
حدثنا حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن يزيد بن ابي زياد ، عن زيد بن وهب ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: قام اعرابي إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله، اكلتنا الضبع يعني السنة، قال: " غير ذلك اخوف لي عليكم الدنيا إذا صبت عليكم صبا، فيا ليت امتي لا يلبسون الذهب" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when a hard-natured Bedouin stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Famine will consume us." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I fear another thing for you regarding yourselves: when the world will be poured upon you. I wish that at that time my Ummah would not wear gold jewelry."

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لضعف يزيد بن أبى زياد
Hadith Number: 21371
حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، اخبرنا سفيان ، عن ايوب السختياني ، وخالد الحذاء ، عن ابي قلابة ، كلاهما ذكره خالد، عن عمرو بن بجدان ، وايوب ، عن رجل ، عن ابي ذر ، ان ابا ذر اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وقد اجنب فدعا له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بماء، فاستتر واغتسل، ثم قال له: " إن الصعيد الطيب وضوء المسلم وإن لم يجد الماء عشر سنين، وإذا وجد الماء فليمسه بشرته، فإن ذلك هو خير" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he became obliged to perform ghusl. In that state, he came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had water brought for him. He performed ghusl behind a curtain. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Pure earth is a means of ablution for a Muslim, even if he does not find water for ten years. When water is found, he should pour it over his body, for that is better for him.

Hadith Number: 21372
حدثنا مؤمل ، حدثنا حماد ، حدثنا حجاج الاسود ، قال مؤمل ، وكان رجلا صالحا، قال: سمعت ابا الصديق يحدث ثابتا البناني، عن رجل ، عن ابي ذر ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " إنكم في زمان علماؤه كثير خطباؤه قليل، من ترك فيه عشير ما يعلم هوى، او قال هلك، وسياتي على الناس زمان يقل علماؤه ويكثر خطباؤه، من تمسك فيه بعشير ما يعلم نجا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are in a time in which scholars are many and preachers are few. Whoever abandons even a tenth of his knowledge in this time will be destroyed. Soon there will come a time upon the people in which scholars will be few and preachers will be many. In that time, whoever acts upon even a tenth of his knowledge will attain salvation."

Hadith Number: 21373
حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى ، حدثني يحيى بن سليم ، عن عبد الله بن عثمان ، عن مجاهد ، عن إبراهيم بن الاشتر ، عن ابيه ، عن ام ذر، قالت: لما حضرت ابا ذر الوفاة، قالت: بكيت، فقال: ما يبكيك؟ قالت: وما لي لا ابكي وانت تموت بفلاة من الارض ولا يد لي بدفنك، وليس عندي ثوب يسعك فاكفنك فيه، قال: فلا تبكي وابشري، فإني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " لا يموت بين امراين مسلمين ولدان، او ثلاثة فيصبران ويحتسبان فيردان النار ابدا"، وإني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول:" ليموتن رجل منكم بفلاة من الارض يشهده عصابة من المؤمنين" وليس من اولئك النفر احد إلا وقد مات في قرية او جماعة، وإني انا الذي اموت بفلاة، والله ما كذبت ولا كذبت .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Zar (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the time of Hazrat Abu Zar’s (may Allah be pleased with him) death drew near, I began to weep. He asked,“Why are you weeping?”I said,“Why should I not weep? While you are dying in such a wilderness that I have no means to bury you, nor do I have enough cloth to shroud you.”He said,“Do not weep, and receive glad tidings, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Whoever dies among two or three Muslim children, and he bears their death with patience seeking reward, he will never see the fire of Hell.’ And I also heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘One of you will surely die in a wilderness, and a group of believers will be present with him.’ Now, each of those people has died in some city or among a group, and I am the one who is dying in the wilderness. By Allah, I am neither lying nor has a lie been told to me.”

Hadith Number: 21374
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، عن يزيد بن عمرو ، عن يزيد بن نعيم ، قال: سمعت ابا ذر الغفاري وهو على المنبر بالفسطاط، يقول: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " من تقرب إلى الله شبرا، تقرب إليه ذراعا، ومن تقرب إلى الله ذراعا، تقرب إليه باعا، ومن اقبل على الله ماشيا، اقبل الله إليه مهرولا، والله اعلى واجل، والله اعلى واجل، والله اعلى واجل" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "Whoever comes near to Me by a span, I come near to him by a hand's length; and whoever comes near to Me by a hand's length, I come near to him by a cubit; and whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him running." And Allah Almighty is Most Great and Most Exalted.

Hadith Number: 21375
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، حدثنا ليث بن سعد ، عن عبيد الله بن ابي جعفر ، عن الحمصي ، عن ابي طالب ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " من زنى امة لم يرها تزني، جلده الله يوم القيامة بسوط من نار" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever accuses a slave-girl of adultery without having seen her committing adultery himself, Allah Almighty will punish him with lashes of fire on the Day of Resurrection.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، الحمصي وأبو طالب مجهولان
Hadith Number: 21376
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن مهاجر ابي الحسن ، قال: سمعت زيد بن وهب ، قال: جئنا من جنازة، فمررنا بابي ذر ، فقال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر فاراد المؤذن ان يؤذن للظهر، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ابرد" ثم اراد ان يؤذن، فقال له:" ابرد" والثالثة، اكبر علمي شعبة، قال له حتى راينا فيء التلول، قال:" قال: إن شدة الحر من فيح جهنم، فإذا اشتد الحر فابردوا بالصلاة" .
Zaid bin Wahb (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once we were returning from a funeral when we passed by Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: Once we were on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When the muezzin intended to give the adhan for Zuhr prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Give the adhan after cooling down." This happened two or three times, until we began to see the shade of the mounds. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "The intensity of heat is from the effect of the heat of Hell, so when the heat is severe, perform the prayer after cooling down."

Hadith Number: 21377
حدثنا حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا ابو عوانة ، عن عاصم ، عن المعرور بن سويد ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الصادق المصدوق، يقول:" قال الله عز وجل: الحسنة عشر او ازيد، والسيئة واحدة او اغفرها، فمن لقيني، لا يشرك بي شيئا، بقراب الارض خطيئة جعلت له مثلها مغفرة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the truthful and trustworthy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed to us this statement from Allah Almighty: The reward of a good deed is tenfold, and I can increase it further, and the recompense of a sin is equal to it, and I can also forgive it. And O son of Adam! If you come to Me with sins filling the earth, but you do not associate anyone with Me, then I will meet you with forgiveness filling the earth.
