Hadith Number: 21338
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best thing to change the whiteness of hair is henna and katam.

Nuaim bin Qanab Riyahi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I went to the service of Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) but did not find him. I asked his wife, and she told me that he had gone to his land. After a short while, he came driving two camels. The saliva of one camel was falling on the haunch of its companion, and each of them had a water skin hanging from its neck. He took down both water skins, so I said, "O Abu Dharr! I never loved meeting anyone else as much as I loved meeting you, nor did I ever hate meeting anyone as much as I hated meeting you." He said, "Brother! How can these two things be combined?" I said, "In the days of ignorance, I buried a girl alive. I hoped that by meeting you, you would tell me a way of repentance and salvation (that is why I wished to meet you), but I also feared that you might say there is no way of repentance for me." Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Did you do this in the days of ignorance?" I replied, "Yes." He said, "Allah has forgiven all past sins." Then, with a gesture of his head, he ordered his wife to bring food for me, but she did not pay attention. He told her again, but she still did not pay attention. Eventually, their voices were raised. Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Stay behind us; you cannot go beyond the limit that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has stated regarding you." I asked him, "What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say to you about them?" He mentioned this saying: "A woman is like a crooked rib; if you try to straighten her, you will break her, and if you leave her as she is, you will have to live with her crookedness and foolishness." Hearing this, she went back and after a while brought tharid prepared like "qatah." Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "Eat and do not worry about me, for I am fasting." Then he stood up and began to pray, performing good but light bowings. I saw that he wanted to see me satisfied, but after a short while, he came and joined me in eating. Seeing this, I said, "Inna lillah." He asked, "What happened?" I said, "I could have suspected an ordinary person of lying to me, but I could not suspect you." He said, "By Allah! Since you met me, I have not lied to you." I said, "Did you not tell me that you were fasting, and now I see you eating?" He said, "Yes! I had already fasted three days in this month, for which the reward is established for me, and now eating with you is lawful for me."

Ibn Ahmas (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I met Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "I have heard that you narrate a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "Do not think for a moment that I would falsely attribute something to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when I have not heard it. Which hadith is it that you have heard attributed to me?" I said, "I have heard that you say there are three types of people whom Allah loves, and three types of people whom Allah dislikes?" He said, "Yes! I have said this, and I have heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." I asked, "Who are those whom Allah loves?" He replied, "One is the person who meets the enemy with a group and stands firm before them until he is martyred or his companions are granted victory. The second are those who set out on a journey, their journey becomes long, and they wish to camp in the evening in some area. When they camp, one of them moves aside and starts praying until, when it is time to depart, he wakes them up. The third is the person who has such a neighbor from whose proximity he suffers harm, but he patiently endures his neighbor's harm until death separates them." I asked, "Who are those whom Allah dislikes?" He replied, "The trader who swears oaths, the miser who reminds others of his favors, and the poor person who is arrogant."

Sa’sa’ah bin Mu’awiyah says that once I came to Hazrat Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him, "What wealth do you possess?" He replied, "My wealth is my deeds." I requested him to narrate a hadith, so he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If three minor children of a Muslim husband and wife die, Allah Almighty will forgive that husband and wife." I said, "Tell me another hadith." He said, "Alright. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever among the Muslims spends two pairs from his wealth in the way of Allah, the gatekeepers of Paradise will come before him, and each of them will call him towards himself." I asked, "How can this status be attained?" He replied, "If there are many slaves, then free two slaves; if there are camels, then give two camels; and if there are cows, then give two cows."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person does not even have the rear part of a camel saddle in front of him, then his prayer will be invalidated if a woman, a donkey, or a black dog passes in front of him. The narrator asked: What is the difference between a black dog and a red dog? Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Nephew! I also asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question as you have asked me, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The black dog is a devil.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I do not like that Uhud mountain be turned into gold for me and that when I depart from this world, even one or half a dinar remains with me, except if I keep it for the repayment of a debt. Rather, my desire is that I distribute it among the servants of Allah in such a way. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hands, filling them and pointing to the right, left, and in front. Then we set off again, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, those who possess abundant wealth will be the ones in loss, except for the one who spends it in this way. And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again gestured with his hands to the right, left, and in front. We set off again, and when we reached a place, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Abu Dharr! Remain here until I return to you. Saying this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went off to one side until he disappeared from my sight. After a short while, I heard some sounds of commotion. I thought to myself that perhaps some incident had occurred with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I thought of going after the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but then I remembered his instruction not to move from here until he returned. So I waited for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until he returned. I mentioned to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the sounds I had heard. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That was Jibreel (peace be upon him) who came to me and said: Whoever from your Ummah dies in the state that he does not associate anyone with Allah, he will enter Paradise. Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked, even if he commits adultery or theft? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, even if he commits adultery or theft.
