Musnad of the Ansar
حَدِيثُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 23538
حدثنا يحيى ، حدثنا عمرو بن عثمان ، قال: سمعت موسى بن طلحة ، ان ابا ايوب اخبره , ان اعرابيا عرض للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو في مسير، فاخذ بخطام ناقته، او بزمام ناقته، فقال: يا رسول الله او يا محمد، اخبرني بما يقربني من الجنة، ويباعدني من النار، قال: " تعبد الله ولا تشرك به شيئا، وتقيم الصلاة، وتؤتي الزكاة، وتصل الرحم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey when a Bedouin came before him and held the reins of the Prophet’s camel and said,“O Messenger of Allah! Tell me of an action that will bring me near to Paradise and keep me away from Hell.”The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“Worship Allah, do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, pay zakat, and maintain ties of kinship.”

Hadith Number: 23539
حدثنا يحيى , عن شعبة ، حدثني عون بن ابي جحيفة ، عن ابيه ، عن البراء ، عن ابي ايوب ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خرج بعد ما غربت الشمس، فسمع صوتا، فقال: " يهود تعذب في قبورها" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out after sunset and heard a sound, and said: "The Jews are being punished in their graves."

Hadith Number: 23540
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد ، حدثنا واصل ، عن ابي سورة ، عن ابي ايوب ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان " يستاك من الليل مرتين او ثلاثا، وإذا قام يصلي من الليل صلى اربع ركعات لا يتكلم، ولا يامر بشيء، ويسلم بين كل ركعتين ..
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to use the miswak two or three times at night. When he would stand to pray at night, he would perform four rak‘ahs, would not speak to anyone nor give any command regarding anything, and he would say salam after every two rak‘ahs.

Hadith Number: 23541
وبه وبه ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا توضا تمضمض، ومسح لحيته من تحتها بالماء" .
And when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would rinse his mouth and wash his blessed beard from underneath with water.

Hadith Number: 23542
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا قريش بن حيان ، عن ابي واصل ، قال: لقيت ابا ايوب الانصاري ، فصافحني، فراى في اظفاري طولا، فقال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يسال احدكم عن خبر السماء، وهو يدع اظفاره كاظافير الطير يجتمع فيها الجنابة، والخبث، والتفث!" ، ولم يقل وكيع مرة: الانصاري. قال غيره: ابو ايوب العتكي , قال ابو عبد الرحمن: قال ابي: سبقه لسانه يعني وكيع، فقال: لقيت ابا ايوب الانصاري، وإنما هو ابو ايوب العتكي.
Abu Wasil says that once I met Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him). He shook hands with me and noticed that my nails were long. He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Each of you asks about heavenly matters while leaving his nails like the nails of birds, in which impurity, filth, and dirt accumulate." Some hadith scholars say that the narrator of this hadith is not Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), but rather Abu Ayyub Ataki (may Allah be pleased with him).

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لجهالة أبى واصل، ثم إنه مرسل، أبو أيوب هو أبو أيوب العتكي الأزدي، ليس هو الأنصاري
Hadith Number: 23543
حدثنا يزيد ، حدثنا ابو مالك يعني الاشجعي ، حدثنا موسى بن طلحة ، عن ابي ايوب الانصاري ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إن اسلم، وغفار، ومزينة، واشجع، وجهينة، ومن كان من بني كعب، موالي دون الناس، والله ورسوله مولاهم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people of the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina, Ashja', Juhaina, and Banu Ka'b, leaving all other people, are only my friends (mawla), and Allah and His Messenger are their friends (mawla).

Hadith Number: 23544
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي ايوب ، او عن زيد بن ثابت ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " قرا في المغرب بالاعراف الركعتين" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) or Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Al-A'raf in the Maghrib prayer.

Hadith Number: 23545
حدثنا يزيد ، حدثنا سفيان بن حسين ، عن الزهري ، عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي ، عن ابي ايوب الانصاري ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اوتر بخمس، فإن لم تستطع فبثلاث، فإن لم تستطع فبواحدة، فإن لم تستطع فاومئ إيماء" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Perform Witr with five rak‘ahs; if you cannot do this, then with three rak‘ahs; if you cannot do this either, then perform Witr with one rak‘ah; and if you cannot do even this, then perform it by gesture.

حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، إسناده ضعيف، سفيان بن حسين متكلم فيه عن الزهري، لكنه توبع
Hadith Number: 23546
حدثنا يزيد ، اخبرنا داود ، عن عامر ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي ليلى ، عن ابي ايوب ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من قال: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير، عشر مرات، كن له كعدل عتق عشر رقاب، او رقبة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites these words ten times — "La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer" — it is like freeing one or ten slaves.

Hadith Number: 23547
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن منصور ، عن هلال بن يساف ، عن ربيع بن خثيم ، عن عمرو بن ميمون ، عن امراة ، عن ابي ايوب ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم انه قال: " هو الله احد القرآن" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surah Ikhlas is equal to one third of the Qur'an.
