Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We captured some slave girls and wanted to sell them for ransom, so regarding 'azl (withdrawal), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do as you wish, whatever Allah has decreed will surely happen."

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about coitus interruptus (withdrawal), so he said: There is no harm for you in not doing it. If Allah has decreed its existence, He will bring it forth even from a stone."

It was asked from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) about 'azl (withdrawal), so he said: "There is no harm for you in not doing it. If Allah has taken a covenant from any drop of semen, then even if it is in a stone, Allah will put life into it."

Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Coitus interruptus is a minor form of infanticide (the girl buried alive)."

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Withdrawal (coitus interruptus) is hidden killing."

Hazrat Hubairah bin Khabbab (may Allah have mercy on him) used to practice coitus interruptus with his slave women.

Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about coitus interruptus (azl), so he said:“At first, we used to dislike it, then Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) informed us that there is no harm in it.”

Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "This is your field; if you wish, water it, and if you wish, withhold (water from) it."

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "This is your field; if you wish, water it, and if you wish, leave it dry."
