Hadith Number: 2229
نا نا إبراهيم بن سعد، عن ابن شهاب، قال:" كان عمر ، وابن عمر يكرهان العزل . وكان زيد بن ثابت ، وابن مسعود يعزلان" .
Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) disliked coitus interruptus, whereas Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit and Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) practiced coitus interruptus.

Hadith Number: 2230
نا نا هشيم، نا يحيى بن سعيد، عن سعيد بن المسيب، قال:" كان عمر ، وعثمان يكرهان العزل، ويقولان:" من جامع فاكسل فعليه الغسل" ، وكان رجال من الانصار لا يرون بالعزل باسا، ويقولان: من جامع، ثم اكسل فلا غسل عليه.
Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both) disliked 'azl (withdrawal) and used to say: "If ejaculation occurs after intercourse, ghusl (ritual bath) becomes obligatory." Whereas some of the Ansar did not see any harm in 'azl and used to say: "If ejaculation does not occur, ghusl is not obligatory."

Hadith Number: 2231
نا نا هشيم، انا يحيى بن سعيد، عمن حدثه، عن زيد بن ثابت " انه كان يعزل عن ام ولد له، فجاءت بولد، فعرف الشبه، فاقر به" .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) used to practice coitus interruptus with his slave woman, but when a child was born and he saw the resemblance, he accepted him as his son.

Hadith Number: 2232
نا نا هشيم، انا ابن عون، نا نافع، عن ابن عمر ،" انه ضرب بعض ولده على العزل، وكان يكرهه" .
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) struck one of his sons for practicing coitus interruptus, and he disliked it.

Hadith Number: 2233
نا نا جرير، عن منصور، عن مجاهد، قال: كان لابن عباس جارية سوداء، وكان " يطؤها، ويعزل عنها، ويجعل ماءه في خرقة، ويريها إياها" .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he had a black slave woman, and he would have intercourse with her, and practice coitus interruptus, and would collect his semen in a cloth and show it to her.

Hadith Number: 2234
نا نا ابو عوانة، عن سليمان بن ابي المغيرة، قال: سالت سعيد بن جبير عن العزل، فقال:" كان ابن عمر يكرهه، وعن ابن عباس: لا يرى به باسا" .
It was asked from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) about 'azl (withdrawal), so he said: "Sayyiduna Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to dislike it, and Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that there is no harm in it."

نا نا هشيم، انبا حصين، عن مصعب بن سعد، قال: حدثتني ام ولد لسعد، ان سعدا " كان يعزل عنها" .
Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) had a slave woman with whom he used to practice coitus interruptus (azl).

نا نا ابو عوانة، عن عمر بن ابي سلمة، عن ابيه، عن سعد " انه كان يعزل" .
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) practiced coitus interruptus (azl).

Hadith Number: 2237
نا نا هشيم، انا إسماعيل بن سالم، عن المنهال بن عمرو، ان رجلا سال عليا رضي الله عنه، عن امراته وهي حائض ايعزل عنها مخافة الولد،" فرخص له في ذلك" .
A man asked Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) about his wife who was menstruating, whether he could practice coitus interruptus (azl) so that pregnancy would not occur, so Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) permitted him to do so.

Hadith Number: 2238
نا هشيم، انا عبيدة، عن إبراهيم، انه كان يقول: " يستامر الحرة ولا يستامر الامة" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It is necessary to seek permission from a free woman, but it is not necessary to seek permission from a slave woman."
