Hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 19731
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Paradise al-Firdaus has four levels. Among them, two gardens will be of silver; their utensils and everything in them will be of silver. Two gardens will be of gold, and their utensils and everything in them will be of gold. And in Paradise ‘Adn, between the people and the visitation of their Lord, there will be nothing but the veil of Majesty which is upon His radiant face. And these rivers gush forth from Paradise ‘Adn and flow in the form of rivers.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked about the timings of prayer. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give him any answer, but rather ordered Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), who gave the iqamah for Fajr when dawn had broken and people could not recognize each other. Then he ordered him, and he gave the iqamah for Zuhr when the sun had declined, and some said that half the day had passed, while others said it had not, but he knew better. Then he ordered him, and he gave the iqamah for Asr when the sun was still bright. Then he ordered him, and he gave the iqamah for Maghrib when the sun had set. Then he ordered him, and he gave the iqamah for Isha when the twilight had disappeared. Then on the next day, he delayed Fajr so much that when the prayer was finished, people began to say that the sun was about to rise. He delayed Zuhr so much that it was close to the previous day's Asr. He delayed Asr so much that after the prayer people began to say that the sun had turned red. He delayed Maghrib until the disappearance of the twilight, and Isha until the first third of the night. Then he called the questioner and said, "The time for prayer is between these two times."

Abu Aisha, may Allah have mercy on him, who was a companion of Hazrat Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, says that once Saeed bin Aas called Hazrat Abu Musa Ashari, may Allah be pleased with him, and Hazrat Hudhaifa bin Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him, and asked: "How many takbirs did the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, say in Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha?" Hazrat Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, replied: "Just as four takbirs are said in the funeral prayer, four takbirs were also said in the two Eids." Hazrat Hudhaifa, may Allah be pleased with him, confirmed his statement. Abu Aisha, may Allah have mercy on him, says: "I have not forgotten his words till now, that 'like the takbirs of the funeral prayer.'" It should be noted that Abu Aisha, may Allah have mercy on him, was present with Saeed bin Aas at that time.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been granted five such characteristics which were not given to any prophet before me: I have been sent to every red and black (i.e., to all mankind), the entire earth has been made a means of purification and a mosque for me, spoils of war have been made lawful for me, which were not lawful for anyone before me, I have been helped by awe (instilled in the hearts of the enemy) from a distance of one month's journey, and I have been granted the right of intercession. There is no prophet who did not ask for intercession for himself, but I have reserved my right of intercession and kept it for every member of my Ummah who dies without associating anyone with Allah. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.

The narrator says that he used to use the miswak lengthwise.
