The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

Abu Al-Ash'ath (may Allah be pleased with him) says that people used to sell the silver obtained from war booty by suspending it until they received their stipend. Seeing this, Hazrat Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the exchange of gold for gold, silver for silver, dates for dates, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, and salt for salt, except when it is equal for equal. Whoever adds or asks for an addition has engaged in usury.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was ill. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had not yet left his bedside when he said: "Do you know who are the martyrs of my Ummah?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: "The martyr is the Muslim who is killed in the battlefield." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it were so, then the martyrs of my Ummah would be very few. The one who is killed (unjustly) is also a martyr, the one who dies in a plague is also a martyr, and the woman who dies because of her child (i.e., the woman who dies during childbirth due to the pain of delivery) is also a martyr."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Whom do you consider a martyr among yourselves?" They replied, "The one who fights in the way of Allah and is killed." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If it were so, then there would be very few martyrs in my Ummah. The one who is killed in the way of Allah is also a martyr, and the one who dies in a plague, in a disease of the stomach, and a woman who dies in the state of childbirth is also a martyr."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubada (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon there will come rulers who will be engrossed in many things out of heedlessness, and they will delay the prayer from its appointed time. On such occasions, you should perform the prayer at its appointed time, and then join them with the intention of offering a voluntary (nafl) prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the interpretation of Allah Almighty’s statement: "For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter" , so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It means good dreams which a Muslim sees himself or another Muslim sees about him.

One of them presented me with a bow as a gift. I thought to myself that I do not possess wealth, so I will use this for archery in the path of Allah. Then I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this matter. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you like that a collar of fire should be placed around your neck, then by all means accept it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon there will come rulers who will be engrossed in many things out of heedlessness, and they will delay the prayer from its prescribed time. On such occasions, you should perform the prayer at its prescribed time, and then join them with the intention of nafl (supererogatory) prayer.
