Hadith of Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 22672
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out of his house to inform us about the Night of Qadr. Two men were arguing with each other. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr, but two men were arguing with each other, so its exact determination was taken away. It is possible that this is better for you. Seek the Night of Qadr in the ninth, seventh, and fifth nights (of the last ten days).
Hadith Number: 22673
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever wakes up at night and says: There is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is powerful over everything. Glory be to Allah, and all praise is for Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah. Then if he supplicates: O Lord! Forgive me, or makes any other supplication, it will surely be accepted. Then if he gets up with determination, performs ablution, and offers prayer, his prayer will also be accepted.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to inform us about the Night of Qadr, but two men were arguing with each other. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr, but two men were arguing with each other, so its determination was lifted because of that. It may be that this is better for you. Seek the Night of Qadr in the ninth, seventh, and fifth nights (of the last ten days).

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever bears witness that there is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger, and that Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) is Allah’s servant, His Messenger, and His word which He cast towards Maryam (Mary), and a spirit from Him, and that Paradise and Hell are true, then Allah will surely admit him into Paradise, regardless of his deeds.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a pledge from us on six things just as he took from the women: that you will not associate anything with Allah, you will not steal, you will not commit adultery, you will not kill your children, you will not slander one another, and you will not disobey me in any good matter. Whoever among you commits a punishable offense with a woman and receives its immediate punishment, then that will be an expiation for him. And if he is given respite, then his matter is referred to Allah; if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will forgive him.
