It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day he said, "O people! Why do you not ask me questions? People used to ask the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about good, and I used to ask about evil. Indeed, Allah Almighty sent His Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he invited people from disbelief to faith, called them from misguidance to guidance. Whoever was to accept his words, accepted this invitation, and by the blessing of truth, dead things became alive, and by the misfortune of falsehood, even living things became dead. Then the era of Prophethood ended, and the Caliphate upon the way of Prophethood was established."

Tha’labah bin Zahdam says that once we were in Tabaristan with Sa’id bin ‘As (may Allah be pleased with him). He asked the people,“Who among you has performed the Salat al-Khawf (prayer of fear) with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?”Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied,“I have.”Then he ordered the people, so they put on their weapons. Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) then said,“If the enemy suddenly attacks you, it is permissible for you to fight.”Then he led one group in one rak’ah (unit of prayer). One row stood facing the enemy. Then these people (who prayed) retreated backwards to the place of those who were standing in front of the enemy, and those people came and stood behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in the second rak’ah. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) concluded the prayer with salam.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the tribe of Mudar will not leave on earth any righteous servant of Allah without putting him into trial and destroying him, until Allah will impose upon them an army of His that will humiliate them, and not even the side of a mound will be able to save them. A man said to him, "Servant of Allah! You are saying this even though you yourself belong to the tribe of Mudar?" He replied, "I am only saying what the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has said."

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once my mother asked me, "Since when have you been associated with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" I told her an estimate of the time. She began to scold and reproach me harshly. I said to her, "Step aside, I am going to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); I will perform the Maghrib prayer with him and will not leave him until he seeks forgiveness for both you and me." So I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and performed the Maghrib prayer with him. After that, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the 'Isha prayer and then returned.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I know more about what will happen with the Dajjal than even he does. He will have with him two flowing rivers, one of which will appear to have white water and the other will appear to be blazing. If any of you encounters that time, he should enter the river which appears to him as fire, immerse himself in it, then lower his head and drink its water, for it will be cool water. And the Dajjal’s left eye will be wiped out, over it will be a thick piece of skin, and between his two eyes will be written "Kafir" (disbeliever), which every Muslim, whether literate or illiterate, will be able to read.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he came from Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He says: Yesterday, when we were sitting with him, he asked the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Who among you has heard the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding tribulations (fitan)?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "We have all heard it." Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Perhaps you are thinking of the tribulation which concerns a man's family and wealth?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "Yes!" Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I am not asking you about that. Its expiation is prayer, fasting, and charity. Has anyone among you heard the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding those tribulations which will spread like the waves of the sea?" At this, the people fell silent, and I realized that they wanted to get the answer from me. So I said, "I have heard that saying." Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "Surely, you must have heard it." I said, "Tribulations will be presented before the hearts just as a mat is woven, straw by straw. Any heart that absorbs them will have a black dot placed upon it, and any heart that rejects them will have a white dot placed upon it, until the hearts become of two kinds: one white like a pure stone, which no tribulation will harm as long as the heavens and the earth remain; and the other black and dark, like an overturned vessel, not recognizing good as good nor evil as evil, except what its desires incline towards."

And among the things that people received from the first command of Prophethood is also this: When you do not feel shame, then do whatever you wish.
