There he passed by the women and said: O assembly of women, give charity, for I have seen that most of the inhabitants of Hell are you. They said, O Messenger of Allah, why is that? He said: You curse a lot and are ungrateful to your husbands. Despite being deficient in intellect and religion, I have not seen anyone more capable than you of making a wise and experienced man lose his senses. The women asked: O Messenger of Allah, what is the deficiency in our religion and our intellect? He said: Is it not the case that the testimony of a woman is half that of a man? They said: Yes, it is so. He said: That is the deficiency of her intellect. Then he asked: Is it not the case that when a woman is menstruating, she neither prays nor fasts? The women said: Yes, it is so. He said: That is the deficiency in her religion.
