His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger—those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs} to His saying: {And sufficient is Allah as Knower}
Hadith Number: 661
‘Aamir al-Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: An Ansari man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said:“You are more beloved to me than my own self, my children, my family, and my wealth. Whenever I am away from you, I fear I might die longing to see you.”And that Ansari began to weep. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked:“What makes you weep?”He said:“I remembered that you will be at a high rank with the Prophets, and even if we enter Paradise, we will be far below you, and this separation makes me weep.”The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not reply until Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: __QUR_N__“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then they will be with those upon whom Allah has bestowed favor from among the Prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, and the martyrs...”__QUR_N__ Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Rejoice!”

Abu Salih, may Allah have mercy on him, said in the explanation of Allah the Exalted’s statement: ﴿وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنْ نَفْسِكَ﴾: This is because of your sin, and indeed We had decreed it for you.

His (Allah's) saying: {What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error] for what they earned}
Hadith Number: 663
It is narrated from Ibn Sa'd bin Mu'adh that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the people and said: Who will save me from those who cause me harm and give shelter in their homes to those who trouble me? So our master Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If that person is from Aws, we will kill him, and if he is from our brothers, the Khazraj, then you command us, we will obey you. Upon this, our master Sa'd bin 'Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O Ibn Mu'adh! What is the matter with you? The obedience to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is in its place, but you have said something that does not befit you. Then our master Usayd bin Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O Ibn 'Ubadah! You are a hypocrite and you love the hypocrites. At this, our master Muhammad bin Maslamah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O people! Be silent, indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is among us, whatever he commands us, we will carry it out. Then Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: ﴿فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ أَرْكَسَهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا﴾.

His (Allah's) saying: {And it is not for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake—then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased's family unless they give [up their right as] charity. But if the deceased was from a people at war with you and he was a believer—then [only] the freeing of a believing slave; and if he was from a people with whom you have a treaty—then a compensation payment presented to his family and the freeing of a believing slave. And whoever does not find [one or cannot afford to buy one]—then [instead], a fast for two consecutive months, seeking acceptance of repentance from Allah. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise}

Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, may Allah have mercy on him, in the explanation of the verse: "And it is not for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake," said: When a Muslim mistakenly kills another Muslim whose heirs are Muslims, then the blood money is given to them; and if that Muslim belongs to a people who are your enemies, then only a neck (slave) is to be freed for him, because his heirs are polytheists and they have no treaty with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him; and if that Muslim belongs to a polytheist people with whom the Muslims have a treaty, then the blood money is given to his polytheist heirs because they are responsible for his blood money, and his inheritance will go to the Muslims.

Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) and Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the explanation of Allah the Exalted’s statement: ﴿an enemy to you while he is a believer﴾: It refers to a person who is from an enemy people, then he accepts Islam and wishes to come to the Muslims, but is mistakenly killed on the way. In this case, there is no blood money (diyah) for him, but it is obligatory upon the killer to free a believing slave.

A man asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): What do you say about a person who deliberately killed a believer, then repented, believed, did righteous deeds, and was guided? He replied: From where will he find guidance? May his mother weep for him! I heard your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, the murdered person will come with his head in his hand and his veins dripping with blood, and he will say: O my Lord! Ask him why he killed me? By Allah! Nothing has been revealed to abrogate this verse: __QUR_N__“And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein; and the wrath and curse of Allah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him.”__QUR_N__

It is narrated from Kardam, may Allah have mercy on him, that it was asked from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) about the person who deliberately killed a believer. They replied: Can he escape death? Can he dig a tunnel in the earth or make a ladder to the sky or bring the murdered person back to life?

It is narrated from Sa'id bin Mina (may Allah have mercy on him) that I was sitting with Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), when a man came and said: O Abu Hurairah! What do you say about the killer of a believer? Is there repentance for him? So Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: No! By Him besides whom there is no deity, he will not enter Paradise until a camel passes through the eye of a needle.

It is narrated from Sa'id bin Mina (may Allah have mercy on him) that there was a dispute between one of my companions and a man from the market of Makkah. My companion picked up a chair and struck it on that man's head, which caused his death. Then he regretted it and said: "I will give all my wealth in charity and imprison myself in the way of Allah." I said: "Come, let us go to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and ask him if there is repentance for you." So we reached him in Makkah. I said: "O Abu Abdur Rahman!" and then narrated the whole incident in detail, and asked: "Do you see any way of repentance for him?" He said: "Eat and drink, uff, get up from before me! He says he did not intend to kill? He is lying! One of you strikes a Muslim on the head with a stick, then says: 'I did not intend to kill'? He is lying! Eat and drink as much as you can, uff, get up from before me!" After that, he did not say anything to us until we got up and left.
