Hadith Number: 6498
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived at Badr, he pointed towards the ground and said: This is the place where so-and-so will die, this is the place where so-and-so will die. By Allah! None of them moved even a little from their designated place. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) left the slain (disbelievers) of Badr lying as they were for three days, then he came to them. He stood by them. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Abu Jahl bin Hisham! O Umayyah bin Khalaf! O Utbah bin Rabi’ah! O Shaybah bin Rabi’ah! Did you not find true what your Lord had promised you? I have indeed found true what my Lord promised me.
The narrator states: When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) heard this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Are you addressing people who are dead? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, you do not hear what I am saying any better than they do, but they do not have the ability to respond. Then, by the order of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), those people were dragged and thrown into a pit at Badr.

Hadith Number: 6499
Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi’ was the trusted special assistant of our master Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He narrates: I heard our master Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) saying this. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me, our master Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), our master Talha (may Allah be pleased with him), and our master Miqdad bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You all go and reach the garden named Khakh. There will be a woman there, she will have a letter, you should take it from her. We rode our horses swiftly to that garden, and there was a woman present. We said to her: Take out the letter. She said: I do not have any letter. They said: By Allah! Either you take out the letter or we will search your clothes. So she took out the letter from her hair bun. We brought it to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the letter was from Hatib bin Abi Balta’ah to some polytheists living in Makkah. In this letter, our master Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) had informed those people about the intentions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Hatib, what is this? He replied: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Do not be hasty regarding me. I am a person who is associated with the Quraysh, but I am not a part of the Quraysh. The other emigrants who are with you, they have relatives in Makkah, because of which their relatives and families are safe, but I do not have any kinship in Makkah due to which I could protect my family. That is why I wanted that if I do not have any blood relation with them, then I should do them a favor, so that they may take care of my relatives and my family. By Allah! O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I did not do this by turning away from my religion or by being pleased with disbelief after accepting Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has told you the truth. Our master Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Allow me to strike the neck of this hypocrite. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He participated in Badr. Do you not know, perhaps Allah has looked towards the people of Badr and said: Do whatever you wish, I have forgiven you.
(The narrator says:) Regarding this, the following verse was revealed: "O you who believe! Do not take My enemies and your enemies as friends."

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: Once, he participated in a battle between Makkah and Madinah, and a very strong wind blew upon them, to the extent that saddles began to fall. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "This is a sign of the death of a hypocrite." The narrator says: When we returned to Madinah, we found out that on that day, a great hypocrite had died.

Hadith Number: 6501
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) towards Tabuk. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached Wadi al-Qura, there was a woman present in her orchard. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Estimate (the yield of this orchard),”so the people estimated that its yield would be ten wasqs. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the woman:“Whatever its yield is, count it, we will return to you.”Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed from there until he reached Tabuk. He said:“Tonight a strong wind will blow upon you. No one should stand in this wind. Whoever has a camel should tie its rope.”When the strong wind blew, no one stood in it except one man. The wind threw him onto Mount Tay.
The narrator says: The ruler of Aylah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and presented a white mule as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him his cloak to wear. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned and reached Wadi al-Qura, he asked the woman:“How much yield did your orchard produce?”She replied:“Ten wasqs.”This was exactly as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had estimated. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“I wish to go quickly. Whoever among you wishes to go quickly with me, let him do so.”Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out, and when he neared Madinah, he said:“This is Taybah”(the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words),“this is Tabah.”When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Mount Uhud, he said:“This mountain loves us and we love it.”Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Shall I not tell you about the best households among the Ansar?”The people said:“Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“The best household among the Ansar is Banu Najjar. Shall I not tell you about those after them?”The people said:“Yes, O Messenger of Allah.”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“(After them) Banu Sa’idah and Banu Harith bin Khazraj.”

Hadith Number: 6502
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Some people from the Quraysh gathered in Hatim and swore an oath by the names of Lat, Uzza, Manat, Na’ila, and Isaf (idols), making a pact that if they saw Sayyiduna Muhammad, they would all come together before him and would not leave him until they had martyred him. The daughter of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her), came weeping and presented herself before the Prophet (peace be upon him). She said: These people of your tribe have decided against you that when they see you, they will stand against you and will martyr you. In this way, each one of them will take his share of your blood. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: O my daughter, bring me water for ablution. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed ablution and proceeded to the mosque (near the Sacred House, i.e., the Ka’bah). When those people saw the Prophet (peace be upon him), they said: This is he, this is he. Then they lowered their gazes and their chins stuck to their chests. None of them looked up at the Prophet (peace be upon him), and none of them stood up before him, until the Prophet (peace be upon him) came and stood by them. He took a handful of dust and said: May their faces be disfigured. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) threw that dust upon them, and whichever pebble from that dust reached any one of them, that person was killed on the day of the Battle of Badr.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O servants of Allah! Consider how Allah has turned away from me the abuse and cursing of the people. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the Quraysh. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah, how did this happen? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They abuse 'Mudhammam' and curse 'Mudhammam' (i.e., the disbelievers of Quraysh, out of enmity, used to call the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) 'Mudhammam' instead of Muhammad, so the abuse and cursing would fall upon 'Mudhammam'). Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In my youth, I used to graze the goats of 'Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt. One day, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me and asked: O boy, do you have any milk? I replied: Yes, but I am entrusted (with them). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bring me a goat that has not been mated by a male. So I brought a one-year-old kid. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of it, then he passed his hand over its udder and supplicated, until its milk began to flow. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) brought something to serve the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) milked the goat into that vessel, then he said to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him): Drink. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) drank it, then after Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also drank it. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the udder: Become dry, so it became dry and returned to its previous state. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Then I presented myself to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Teach me this speech (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) or teach me this Qur'an. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my head. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are a boy who has understanding (or who will be taught). A Bedouin came; when he approached the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet asked: Where are you going? He replied: To my family. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Are you interested in any goodness? He replied: What is that? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That you bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, He is One, He has no partner, and indeed Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger. He asked: Is there any witness to what you are saying? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This acacia tree. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) called the tree. It was at the edge of the valley, so it tore through the ground and came to stand before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). It recited the testimony of faith three times and bore witness that it is exactly as the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has stated. Then it returned to the place where it had grown. When the Bedouin was about to return to his people, he said: If these people accept what I say, I will bring them to you; otherwise, I will return to you myself and stay with you.

He would rest his back against it. When the crowd of people increased, he said: "Make a pulpit for me." So the people made a pulpit with two steps for him. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on the pulpit to deliver the sermon, that piece of wood began to weep at being separated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was present in the mosque at that time. I heard the sound of that piece of wood, as if a child was crying, and it continued to cry until the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) descended and went to it and embraced it (when he embraced it), it became calm.
The narrator says: When Hasan al-Basri used to narrate this tradition, he would begin to weep and say: O servants of Allah! A piece of wood weeps out of love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), because of the rank and status that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has in the presence of Allah. So you are even more deserving that you should long to be present in the court of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
