Hadith Number: 6518
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to participate in a battle. My camel became slow, so I lagged behind the people. (On the way, at some place) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dismounted from his ride, struck my camel with his stick, and then said to me, "Mount it." When I mounted it, I saw myself restraining the camel from overtaking the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Have you married?" I replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "To a virgin or a previously married woman?" I replied, "Rather, to a previously married woman." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with her and she could play with you?" I replied, "I have sisters. I liked to marry a woman who would look after them, comb their hair, and supervise them." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Now you are about to return (to your home). When you go, show wisdom, show wisdom." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Will you sell your camel?" I replied, "Yes." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) bought it from me for one uqiyah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached (Madina Munawwara) before me. I arrived the next day. I came to the mosque and found the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at the door of the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Have you come now?" I replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Leave your camel and go inside (the mosque) and offer two rak‘ahs." The narrator says: I went inside, offered the prayer, and when I returned, he instructed Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to weigh and give me one uqiyah. The narrator says: Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) weighed and gave it to me, and made my side of the scale heavier. The narrator says: When I left from there and turned away, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Call Jabir to me." I was called, and I guessed that now the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would return the camel to me. This was the most disliked thing to me, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The camel is yours and the price is also yours."

Hadith Number: 6519
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Once he was traveling on his camel which had become exhausted. He intended to leave the camel as it was. The narrator says: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) met me, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for the camel. He struck it, and it began to walk so swiftly that it had never walked so fast before. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell it to me for one uqiyah. I replied: No. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell it to me for one uqiyah. I replied: No. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell it to me for one uqiyah, so I sold it to him for one uqiyah. I made the condition in this transaction that I would ride it until I reached my home. When I reached (Madina Munawwara), I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Did you think that I made this transaction with you because of your camel and dirhams? Both of these are yours.

Hadith Number: 6520
The son of Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My father related this hadith to me: We participated in the Battle of Hunayn along with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The narrator says: When we confronted the enemy, I advanced and climbed a hillock. An enemy came face to face with me, so I shot an arrow at him. He disappeared from my sight. I did not realize what I should do. When I assessed the situation of the people, the enemy was appearing from another valley. They confronted the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so some of the companions turned their faces and retreated. I also retreated and fell back. I was wearing two sheets, one of which I had tied as a lower garment and the other I had wrapped around my body. That sheet fell off, so I picked it up and wrapped it around myself. I passed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who was in a state of retreat. At that time, he was mounted on his white mule. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Ibn Akwa’ has seen panic.”When the enemy surrounded the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he dismounted from his mule. He took a handful of earth from the ground and threw it towards those people. He said:“May their faces be disfigured.”So, whoever among them was there, Allah Almighty filled his eyes with dust from that handful (which reached them), so those people turned their backs and fled. Allah Almighty made them retreat, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed their spoils of war among the Muslims.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: During the Battle of Khaybar, the fighting became intense. I was sitting behind Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allahu Akbar! Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend into the field of a people, then the condition of those who were warned becomes bad. The narrator says: Shortly after that, Allah Almighty granted victory to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah, he found three hundred and sixty idols there. He would point towards each idol with a stick and say: "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood was bound to vanish." Then the idol would fall down. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not touch those idols.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man from the tribe of Banu Amir came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). That man used to give medicine and treat people. He said: O Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have some ideas—are you interested that I give you some medicine? (Meaning, if your mental state is not right, I will give you medicine for it.) The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) invited that man towards Allah, then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Are you interested that I show you a sign? At that time, there was a date-palm tree and another tree near that man. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) called the date-palm tree towards himself. It came towards the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), sometimes prostrating, sometimes raising its head, sometimes prostrating, sometimes raising its head, and it reached the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and stood in front of him. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to it: Go back to your place. So the man from the tribe of Banu Amir said: By Allah! Now I will never consider you a liar in any matter that you state. Then that man said: O descendants of Amir bin Sa’sa’ah, by Allah! I will never deny any of his statements.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The word "udhq" refers to a date-palm tree.

Hadith Number: 6524
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: We set out on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until we camped in the valley of Afih. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to relieve himself. I followed him carrying a water vessel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked around but did not find anything with which he could screen himself. There were two trees at the edge of the valley. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to one of them, took hold of a branch, and said, "Come with me by the command of Allah." So the tree moved with him like an obedient camel, just as a camel follows the command of the one leading it, until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the other tree. He took hold of a branch of that tree and said, "Come with me by the command of Allah." So it too moved with him in the same way, until, when he came between them, the two trees joined together. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Join together for me by the command of Allah," so they joined together.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I moved back a little, fearing that if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sensed my nearness, he might go farther away. I sat down there. After a short while, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned; the trees had separated from each other, and each was standing on its own trunk. I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pause for a moment and turn his head to the left and right, then he came to me. When he reached me, he asked, "O Jabir, did you see me?" I replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go to those two trees, break off a branch from each, and bring them to me. When you reach the place where you saw me standing, leave one branch on your right and one on your left." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I took a stone and broke it into two pieces. Then I went to those two trees, broke off a branch from each, and dragged them until I reached the place where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had stood. I placed one branch on my right and one on my left, then I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have done as you commanded. Why did you ask me to do this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I passed by two graves whose occupants were being punished, so I wished that their punishment be lightened for them through my intercession as long as these branches remain fresh." The narrator says: Then we came to the army, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Jabir, announce for ablution water." So I announced, "Attention! There is water for ablution."
I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I did not find even a drop of water in the army." (The narrator says:) There was a man from the Ansar who used to keep cool water for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his bucket. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go to that Ansari and see if there is any water in his bucket." The narrator says: I went to that man and checked his bucket; I found only a single drop of water at the edge of the bucket. If I had poured it out, it would not have been enough to drink. I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I found only a single drop in the bucket, which was at its edge. If I had poured it out, the dry part would have absorbed it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go and bring it to me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) poured that drop onto his blessed hand and began to recite something. I do not know what it was. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to rub it with his blessed hand, then he gave it to me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Jabir, announce for a bowl." So I said, "Let someone bring a bowl." The narrator says: I brought it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed it before him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did this: he extended his hand into the middle of the bowl and spread his fingers. He said, "O Jabir, take it and pour it over me, and say 'Bismillah'." I poured it over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said 'Bismillah.' I saw water gushing from between the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until the vessel was full. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Jabir, announce that whoever needs water should come." The narrator says: So the people came, drank the water, and were satisfied. The narrator says: I then announced, "Is there anyone who still needs water?" The narrator says: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lifted his blessed hand from the bowl, and it was still full.

The narrator says: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lifted his blessed hand from the bowl, and it was still full.

Hadith Number: 6525
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: At midnight, the Muslims heard the call of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, he was present by the well of Badr and was loudly saying: O Abu Jahl bin Hisham, O Utbah bin Rabi’ah, O Shaybah bin Rabi’ah, O Umayyah bin Khalaf, did you find true what your Lord had promised you? The Muslims submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Are you addressing a people who have become dead? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What I am saying, you do not hear it more than they do, but they do not have the ability to answer me.

Hadith Number: 6526
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not recite to the jinn, nor did he see them. Once, the Prophet (peace be upon him) and some of his companions set out towards the market of Ukaz. This was the time when a barrier had come between the devils and the news of the heavens, and flaming meteors were being sent upon them. So the devils returned to their people, and those people said: What is the matter with you? They replied: A barrier has come between us and the news of the heavens, and now flaming meteors are being sent upon us. They said: This must have happened due to some new event that has occurred. You people should examine the eastern and western parts of the earth and find out what is the thing that has become a barrier between us and the news of the heavens. So those people set out in search of the eastern and western parts of the earth. Some of them passed by the direction of Tihamah. At that time, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was present in a date-palm garden. These people, on their way to the market of Ukaz, were in that date-palm garden, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading them in the Fajr prayer. When those jinn heard the recitation of the Qur’an, they said: This is the thing that has become a barrier between us and the news of the heavens. So those people returned to their people and said:“We have heard a Qur’an, wondrous indeed. It guides to the right path. We have believed in it, and we will never associate anyone with our Lord.”So Allah Almighty revealed to His Prophet:“Say: It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened attentively.”

Hadith Number: 6527
Imam Sha’bi narrates: I asked Alqamah bin Qais,“Was Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) with the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the night when he met the jinn?”Alqamah replied: I asked Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) this question:“Was any of you (i.e., the companions) with the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he met the jinn?”He replied:“No.”One night we were with the Prophet (peace be upon him). We found him absent, so we spent that night in the worst state. Near morning, the Prophet (peace be upon him) came from the direction of the Cave of Hira. He said:“A messenger from the jinn came to me, so I went with him. I recited the Qur’an before them.”Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) went and showed us the traces of the jinn’s fire and other things. Those jinn asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about provisions for the journey. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“Every food upon which Allah’s name has been mentioned—every bone that comes into your hand will have more meat on it than before, and every dung will be fodder for your animals.”
(The narrator states) The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“Do not use these two things for istinja (cleaning after relieving oneself), for they are the food of your jinn brothers.”
