Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Once a woman was breastfeeding her child. While she was nursing, a rider passed by her. The woman prayed: O Allah, do not let my son die until he becomes like this man (wealthy and prominent). The child said: O Allah, do not make me like him. Then he returned to the breast (and began to nurse again). Then a woman passed by there who was being cursed. The woman prayed: O Allah, do not make my son like this woman. So the child prayed: Then make me like her. As for the rider, he was a disbeliever. As for the woman, people were saying about her that she had committed adultery, but the woman was saying, 'Allah is sufficient for me.' People were saying that she had stolen, but the woman was saying, 'Allah is sufficient for me.'"

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Only three children have spoken in the cradle: one was Sayyiduna ‘Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him), the boy from the story of Jurayj, and there was a man among the Children of Israel whose name was Jurayj. He built a place of worship and began to worship Allah Almighty. One day his mother came to him and called him in a loud voice, but he did not pay attention to his mother’s words. Then she came to him the next day and called him in a loud voice, but again he did not pay attention to her. Then on the third day she came to him, and he thought: on one side is my prayer, on the other side is my mother. So his mother said: O Allah, do not let him die until he sees the face of an immoral woman. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One day the Children of Israel were talking about Jurayj. At that time, an immoral woman from the Children of Israel said: If you wish, I can put him to trial. They said: Fine, we are ready. She went and offered herself to Jurayj for sin, but Jurayj did not pay attention to her. Then the woman went to a shepherd who used to bring his sheep to Jurayj’s mother. The woman committed sin with the shepherd, then became pregnant and gave birth to a child. She said: This is Jurayj’s child. Because of this, some people from the Children of Israel attacked Jurayj, began to beat him, and started to speak ill of him. They demolished his place of worship. Jurayj asked them: What has happened to you? The people said: You have committed adultery with an immoral woman, and she has given birth to a child. Jurayj asked: Where is the child? The people said: Here he is. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jurayj performed two units of prayer, then came to the child, touched him with his finger, and said: O child, who is your father? The child said: Such-and-such shepherd. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then the people began to kiss Jurayj’s head and said: We will build your place of worship with gold. Jurayj said: I do not need that; build it with clay as it was before.”

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once, there was a child in a woman’s lap whom she was breastfeeding. At that time, a rider passed by her, so the woman prayed: O Allah, make my son like this rider (wealthy and noble). The child left his mother’s breast, turned towards the rider, and looked at him, then said: O Allah, do not make me like this rider. Then a woman passed by who was to be stoned. The woman (i.e., the child’s mother) said: O Allah, do not make my son like this slave woman. The child left his mother, looked at the slave woman, and said: O Allah, make me like this slave woman (a believer and faithful). The woman said: O my son, first a rider passed by, so I said: O Allah, make my son like this rider, but you said: Do not make me like him. Then a slave woman passed by, who was to be stoned, so I said: O Allah, do not make my son like this slave woman, and you said: O Allah, make me like her. The boy said: O my mother, this rider is a tyrant, and this slave woman about whom people say she has stolen, she has not stolen, and people say she has committed adultery, but she has not committed adultery. That woman keeps saying: Allah is sufficient for me.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are some servants of Allah such that if they swear an oath by Allah's name, Allah fulfills it for them."

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The sister of Sayyiduna Rabi’ah, Umm Harithah, wounded a man, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Qisas (retaliation) will be carried out, qisas will be carried out. Then Umm Rabi’ah said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will qisas be taken from such-and-such woman? No, by Allah! Qisas will not be taken from her. Then the conversation continued in another way, until those people agreed to accept blood money. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are some servants of Allah that if they swear an oath by the name of Allah, Allah fulfills it for them.

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, Mount Uhud shook while the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, Sayyiduna Umar, and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) were present upon it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O Uhud! Remain firm. Upon you are a Prophet, a Siddiq, and two martyrs.”Mu’ammar says: I heard Qatadah narrate a similar hadith.

Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were traveling with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked for food, and the food was reciting tasbih (glorifying Allah).

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, a shepherd was grazing goats on rocky ground. During this time, a wolf came to one of his goats. The shepherd ran and rescued the goat from the wolf. The wolf said to the shepherd: "Do you not fear Allah? You have come between me and the sustenance that Allah Almighty had sent for me." The shepherd said: "It is astonishing about the wolf—a wolf in the form and appearance of a wolf is talking to me like humans." The wolf said to the shepherd: "Shall I not tell you something even more astonishing than this? Between these two rocky grounds (in Madinah Munawwarah), there is Allah's Messenger who is informing people about matters that have passed before." Then the shepherd brought his goats to Madinah Munawwarah. He made them stand in a corner there and himself went to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the conversation with the wolf. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out (of his house). He said to the shepherd: "Stand and tell the people." He told the people what the wolf had said. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This shepherd has spoken the truth." Beware! Among the signs of the Hour is also this: wild beasts will talk to humans. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not be established until wild beasts talk to humans. And a man will converse with his shoe and with the tip of his whip. His thigh will inform him about what his wife did after him.

Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The moon was split into two; at that time we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at Mina, until one part of the moon went behind the mountain. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Bear witness, all of you.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: In the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the moon was split into two parts.

Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the moon was split into two in Makkah.
