Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said:“O Muhammad! What is your opinion about this verse: ‘The width of Paradise is like the width of the heavens and the earth.’ (If this is the case,) then where will Hell be?”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“What is your opinion about the night, which during its duration covers everything over you—where is it kept (during the day)?”He said: Allah, the Exalted, knows best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted, does whatever He wills, (so there is no need to think about where Hell will be).”

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Hell complained to its Lord that (due to its intensity) parts of it were consuming other parts, Allah allowed it two breaths: one breath in the winter and one breath in the summer. So the extreme cold you feel in winter is from its breath, and the extreme heat you feel in summer is also from its breath."

Abdullah bin Anas reports in mursal form that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the people of old, the most wretched was the one who hamstrung the she-camel (the miracle of Sayyiduna Salih), and O Ali! Among the later ones, the most wretched will be the one who strikes you with a spear." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also pointed towards the place of the spear.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yusuf, son of Yaqub, son of Ishaq, son of Khalilur Rahman Ibrahim, was the noble son of a noble, son of a noble, son of a noble. If I (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) had stayed in prison as long as Yusuf (peace be upon him) stayed, and a caller had come to summon me, I would have accepted his word (immediately). But when the messenger came to him, he said: «فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ» 'Ask him, what is the real story of those women who cut their hands?' (12-Yusuf:50) And may Allah have mercy on Lut (peace be upon him), he wanted to take refuge in a strong support. When he said to his people: «لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ» 'If only I had strength to resist you or could take refuge in a strong support.' (11-Hud:80) So after them, whenever Allah sent a prophet, He sent him among a large group of his people."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am greatly amazed at my brother Yusuf (peace be upon him)—may Allah forgive him—for his patience and generosity. When the message was sent to him to interpret the dream, if I had been there, I would have come out (of prison) before interpreting it. So, I am greatly amazed at his patience and magnanimity, and may Allah forgive him. A man came to him so that he could come out, but he did not come out until he had clarified his excuse. If I had been there, I would have rushed to the door. If it were not for the statement, 'Mention me to your lord' (Surah Yusuf: 42), he would not have stayed in prison, as he sought relief from distress from other than Allah."

Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to a Bedouin, and the Bedouin honored him greatly. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:“You should also come to visit us.”So he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And in another narration, it is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed with a Bedouin, and the Bedouin received him with great hospitality. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:“You have taken great care of us, so come to visit us as well.”So the Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) one day. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:“Express any need you have (so that I may fulfill it).”He said:“I want a she-camel with its saddle and some goats, so that my family may milk them.”Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Have you become incapable of making a request like the old woman of Banu Isra’il?”The Companions asked:“O Messenger of Allah! Who is this old woman of Banu Isra’il (and what is her story)?”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“When Musa (peace be upon him) set out with Banu Isra’il from Egypt, they lost their way. He (peace be upon him) asked: ‘What has happened?’ Their scholars said: ‘We will tell you. When Yusuf (peace be upon him) was about to die, he made us swear by Allah that we would not leave Egypt until we took his bones with us.’ Musa (peace be upon him) asked: ‘Then who knows about his grave?’ The scholars said: ‘We do not know the location of Yusuf’s grave, but perhaps an old woman from Banu Isra’il knows it.’ He (peace be upon him) sent for her, and she came. Musa (peace be upon him) said to her: ‘Tell me about the grave of Yusuf (peace be upon him).’ She said: ‘No, by Allah! I will not tell you until you fulfill my demand.’ He asked: ‘What is your demand?’ She said: ‘I want to be with you in Paradise.’ Musa (peace be upon him) disliked to guarantee this for her, but Allah revealed to him to fulfill her demand. Then she led them to a lake, where there was a pond. She said: ‘Drain all its water.’ So they drained all the water from there. Then she said: ‘Now dig here and take out the bones of Yusuf (peace be upon him)’ (meaning his remains). (So it was done.) When they lifted those bones (the remains), the path became as bright as day.”

The Christians split into seventy-two sects; one of them entered Paradise and seventy-two entered the Fire of Hell. And by the One in Whose hand is my soul! My Ummah will split into seventy-three sects; one of them will go to Paradise and seventy-two to Hell." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are they (those who will enter Paradise)?
