It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, fashioned the form (structure) of Adam (peace be upon him), He left him as he was. Iblis began to walk around him and observe him. When he saw that he was hollow from within (i.e., empty inside), he said: 'I will succeed over him, for he is a creature who will not be able to control himself.'"

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty breathed the soul into Adam (peace be upon him) and it reached his head, he sneezed and said «اَلْحَمْدُ ِللهِ َربِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ» . Allah, Blessed and Exalted, replied: «يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ» (meaning) Allah have mercy on you."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted created Adam (peace be upon him) in his image, and his height was sixty cubits."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When any man punishes someone, he should avoid striking the face, because Allah the Exalted created Adam in His image."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him) in his form, his height was sixty cubits. When Allah Almighty created him, He said: Go and greet that group of angels who are sitting, and listen carefully to what they reply to you, for indeed these (words) will be the greeting for you and your offspring. (He went and) said: As-salamu ‘alaykum (peace be upon you). They replied: As-salamu ‘alayka wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah), thus adding the words ‘wa rahmatullah’. When a man enters Paradise, he will enter in the form (and stature) of Adam (peace be upon him). But (from the birth of Adam) until today, the stature has been decreasing.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him) in his form, his height was sixty cubits. When Allah Almighty created him, He said: Go and greet that group of angels sitting there and listen carefully to what they reply to you, for these (words) will be the greeting for you and your descendants. (He went and) said: As-salamu Alaikum. They replied: As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatullah. That is, they added the words 'wa Rahmatullah.' When a person enters Paradise, he will enter in the form (and stature) of Adam (peace be upon him). But (from the birth of Adam till) today, the height and stature have been decreasing."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was the first person to host guests, and he was also the first to perform circumcision after reaching the age of eighty years, and he performed the circumcision with an adze."

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Was Adam (peace be upon him) a prophet?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes, he was taught and he was spoken to (by Allah, the Exalted)." He asked, "What was the time span between him and Nuh (peace be upon him)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Ten centuries (or ten generations)." He asked, "What was the time span between Nuh (peace be upon him) and Ibrahim (peace be upon him)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Ten centuries." Then the companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How many messengers have passed in total?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Three hundred and fifteen, a large group."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked: O Messenger of Allah! Was Adam (peace be upon him) a prophet? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes, and he was spoken to." He asked: What was the time span between him and Nuh (peace be upon him)? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ten centuries." He asked: O Messenger of Allah! How many messengers were there in total? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Three hundred and fifteen."

Imam Mujahid says: We were sitting with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). People began to discuss the Dajjal. A man said: The word "Kafir" will be written on his forehead. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: I have not heard this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but I did hear that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(If you) want to estimate the appearance of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), then look at your companion (i.e., me, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him), and Musa (peace be upon him) was wheat-colored, his hair was curly, and in the vision shown to me, he was riding a red camel, which had a bridle made of the rope of a date-palm tree, and he was descending into the valley while reciting the Talbiyah."
