باب لا يقول لشيء لا يعلمه: الله يعلمه
Chapter: Do not say“Allah knows”for what you do not know
Show diacritics
Hadith Number: 592
592/764 عن ابن عباس:" لا يقولن احدكم لشيء لا يعلمه:"الله يعلمه"؛ والله يعلم غير ذلك، فيعلم الله ما لا يعلم، فذاك عند الله عظيم".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that none of you should say about something he does not know that "Allah knows," while what Allah knows is something else. Thus, he is including in Allah's knowledge something he does not know. This is a great sin in the sight of Allah. (That is, if someone says, "Allah knows, the truth is such," while in reality the truth is not such, then he is attributing to Allah's knowledge something which is not true in reality, so it should not be attributed to Allah.)

It is narrated from Abu Harith Kermani that he said: I heard a man saying to Abu Raja: I greet you with peace and I pray to Allah that He admits me and you into the place of His mercy. He (Abu Raja) said: Does anyone have the power to do that? He asked: What do you mean by the place of mercy? He said: Paradise. He (Abu Raja) said: You have not said correctly. That man asked Abu Raja: What is the place of mercy according to you? I said: It is the Lord of the worlds.

Verily, Allah is the One who manages time (the system of time)."
