حَدِيثُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 18656
Ibn Ja'far said: Shu'bah said: And Abu al-Hasan informed me, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, with the like of that.

Hadith Number: 18657
حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، عن سفيان ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن عبد الله بن يزيد ، قال: حدثنا البراء وهو غير كذوب، قال:" كنا إذا صلينا خلف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فرفع راسه من الركوع، لم يحن رجل منا ظهره حتى يسجد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فنسجد" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we used to pray behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), we would stand in rows, and when he (peace be upon him) went into prostration, then we would follow him.

Hadith Number: 18658
قال: حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمرو ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن البراء بن عازب ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا اقبل من سفر، قال: " آيبون تائبون لربنا حامدون" ..
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a journey, he would recite this supplication: "We are returning in repentance, and we are worshippers of our Lord and praisers of Him." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

Hadith Number: 18659
حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمرو ، عن شعبة ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن الربيع بن البراء، عن ابيه البراء بن عازب ، مثل ذلك.
Abdul-Malik ibn Amr narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Abu Ishaq, from Al-Rabi' ibn Al-Bara', from his father Al-Bara' ibn Azib, similar to that.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن
Hadith Number: 18660
حدثنا اسود بن عامر ، اخبرنا إسرائيل ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن عبد الله بن يزيد الانصاري ، عن البراء بن عازب ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا نام، وضع يده اليمنى تحت خده، وقال: " اللهم قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to sleep, he would make his right hand a pillow and recite this supplication: O Allah! On the day You gather Your servants, protect me from Your punishment.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد اختلف فيه على أبى إسحاق السبيعي
Hadith Number: 18661
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا شعبة ، وسفيان ، عن عمرو بن مرة ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي ليلى ، عن ابن عازب ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " قنت في الفجر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite Qunoot Nazilah in the Fajr and Maghrib prayers.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 678
Hadith Number: 18662
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا إسرائيل ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن البراء ، قال:" رايت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم الخندق ينقل التراب، وقد وارى التراب شعر صدره" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of the digging of the trench, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was carrying earth along with the people during the digging of the trench.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 2836، م: 1803
Hadith Number: 18663
حدثنا وكيع ، قال: حدثنا الاعمش ، عن عبد الله بن مرة ، عن البراء بن عازب ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجم يهوديا، وقال: " اللهم إني اشهدك اني اول من احيا سنة قد اماتوها" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stoned a Jew and said, "O Allah! I am the first person to revive Your command after they had made it dead."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 1700
Hadith Number: 18664
حدثنا وكيع ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن عدي بن ثابت ، عن البراء بن عازب ، قال: لما مات إبراهيم ابن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن له مرضعا في الجنة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Arrangements have been made for a wet nurse for Ibrahim (may Allah be pleased with him) in Paradise.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 1382
Hadith Number: 18665
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا الاعمش ، عن طلحة بن مصرف ، عن عبد الرحمن بن عوسجة ، عن البراء بن عازب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من منح منيحة ورق، او منيحة لبن، او هدى زقاقا، كان له كعدل رقبة" ، وقال مرة:" كعتق رقبة".
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever gives a gift to someone, such as silver or gold, or gives someone milk to drink, or gives someone a water-skin, it is as if he has freed a slave.
