It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I do not forget the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) which he said on the occasion of the Battle of the Trench, when the blessed chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was covered with dust. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was handing bricks to the people and kept saying: "O Allah, the real goodness is the goodness of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajireen." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Hazrat Ammar and said: "O son of Sumayyah, alas! A rebellious group will kill you."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Siddiq Akbar set out towards Busra for trade. Two Badri companions, Na’eeman and Suwaybit bin Harmalah, were with him. Suwaybit was in charge of the provisions. On one occasion, Na’eeman came to him and said,“Give me something to eat.”Suwaybit replied,“No, not until Hazrat Siddiq Akbar returns.”Na’eeman was very cheerful and had a great sense of humor. He said,“I will make sure to annoy you.”Then he went to some people who were bringing goods from abroad on their mounts and said to them,“Will you buy a slave from me who is an Arab, very clever, and eloquent? It is possible that he may say, ‘I am free,’ so if you want to leave him on that basis, let me know now. Do not turn my slave against me.”They said,“We will buy him from you for ten camels.”He brought those camels, driving them along, and also brought the people with him. When the camels were tied with ropes, Na’eeman said,“Here is the slave.”The people went ahead and said to Suwaybit,“We have bought you.”Suwaybit said,“He is lying, I am free.”The people said,“Your master has already told us about you,”and saying this, they put a rope around his neck and took him away. Meanwhile, Hazrat Abu Bakr returned and learned of the incident. He took some companions with him, went to those people, returned their camels, and freed Suwaybit. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this, he and the companions laughed about this incident for a whole year whenever they remembered it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: At the time of the death of a caliph, there will be disagreement among the people regarding the new caliph. At that moment, a man will flee from Madinah Munawwarah to Makkah Mukarramah. Some people from among the people of Makkah will come to him and, against his will, will bring him out and pledge allegiance to him between the Black Stone and the Station of Ibrahim. Then, an army from Syria will be sent to fight them, but it will be swallowed up at the place of Bayda. When people see this, the Abdal of Syria and the groups of the pious (a rank among the saints) will come to him and pledge allegiance to him. Then, a man from the Quraysh will come forward whose maternal uncles will be from Banu Kalb. The man from Makkah will send an army against this Qurayshi, which will prevail over him. This army or battle will be called Ba’th Kalb. The person who is not present at the distribution of the spoils of this battle will be deprived. He will distribute wealth and act according to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Islam will spread its neck over the earth, and that man will remain on the earth for nine years.
