Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
33 Subchapter: Command to mention Allah’s name when mounting, and permissibility to load camels according to their ability
Hadith Number: 2543
Sayyiduna Abu Las Khuza'i رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم made us ride on weak camels from the camels of zakat for the journey of Hajj. So we said, "O Messenger of Allah, we think these camels will not be able to serve us for riding." The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "There is a devil on the hump of every camel, so when you are about to mount them, do so by mentioning the name of Allah (recite Bismillah) according to Allah's command, then make full use of them for your service. Surely, (in reality) it is Allah Almighty who makes one ride (for man does not have the power to subjugate such powerful animals on his own)."

34 Subchapter: Prohibition of using animals as seats while stationary, neither moving nor dismounting
Hadith Number: 2544
It is narrated from the companion of the Noble Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), Sayyiduna Shababa (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Noble Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Ride these animals in a good manner and leave them in a sound and healthy condition, and do not make them chairs."

35 Subchapter: Recommending kindness to riding animals in feeding and watering, and disliking to starve or overwork them
Hadith Number: 2545
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a camel whose back was sticking to its belly (due to hunger). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fear Allah regarding these voiceless animals. Ride them when they are healthy, and eat them (by slaughtering) when they are in a sound condition."

36 Subchapter: Permissibility to load riding animals for travel needs if Allah’s name is mentioned
Hadith Number: 2546
Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Hamzah bin Amr Salmi رضي الله عنه reports that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "There is a devil on the back of every camel. Therefore, when you ride them, do so by taking the name of Allah, and do not be incapable of fulfilling your purpose and need (do not leave it incomplete)."
37 Subchapter: Evidence that the Prophet only permitted loading riding animals
Hadith Number: Q2547
And that it should not be limited to seeking a need, as Allah—Mighty and Majestic—is watching him, and His mercy carries the rider by strengthening the mount so that the rider may fulfill his need.
Hadith Number: 2547
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:“Indeed, there is a devil on every camel’s hump. So make good use of them, for surely it is Allah, the Exalted, Who makes you ride.”Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the narration of Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) from his father, there is evidence that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted loading luggage on riding animals during travel so that the rider may fulfill his purpose and meet his needs. This permission is given when the riding animal is capable of bearing the load. Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Ride the animal when it is healthy, and leave it in a sound condition (not when it is near death).”Similarly, in the narration of Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him), it is stated:“Ride these animals when they are fit for riding, and eat their meat when they are healthy and fit for eating.”Therefore, when it is likely that loading luggage on the riding animal during travel will exhaust it, then the rider should not load luggage on it... because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has stipulated the condition that it should be ridden while it is sound and healthy. And it is also possible that the meaning of his statement:“Ride them while they are healthy,”is that you should ride them in such a state that the camel remains sound and does not become exhausted and unable to continue the journey. And Allah knows best.

38 Subchapter: Evidence that the Prophet allowed not limiting needs when riding, as long as not exceeding the journey’s stops and the land is fertile
Hadith Number: Q2548
The rider is instructed to allow the mount to graze in a green area, provided that this hadith is authentic. Because my heart is not satisfied regarding Imam Hasan al-Basri hearing from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith Number: 2548
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you travel through lush and green areas, give your mounts the opportunity to graze and do not pass by the stopping places without halting (so that the animals may rest and drink water, etc.). And when you travel through dry areas, pass quickly and travel at night, because more distance is covered at night. And when groups of devils appear before you in changing forms, then quickly perform prayer. (And at night) never rest or pray on the main roads, because the main roads are the refuge of snakes and wild beasts. And do not relieve yourselves on such roads either, because this act becomes a cause of people's curse."

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you come to a green area, give your riding animals a chance to graze, and be sure to stop at designated resting places. And if you come to a barren area, then pass through it quickly. And travel at night, for indeed, at night the earth is folded up (the journey is covered more quickly). And do not sit in the middle of the roads, for they are the refuge of snakes and wild beasts at night. And when you see a group of devils, then call the Adhan." Imam Muhammad bin Yahya narrates that Imam Ali bin Abdullah used to deny that Imam Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) heard this narration from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
