Sayyiduna Abu Juray Hijimi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! We are people who live in the wilderness, so teach us something by which Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, will benefit us. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not consider any good deed insignificant, even if it is pouring water into the bucket of one who asks for water, or speaking to your brother with a cheerful face. Avoid letting your lower garment hang below the ankles, for this is arrogance, and Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, does not like arrogance. If a man insults you by mentioning your faults, do not abuse him in return for any fault of his that you know; for the reward of this will be for you, and the burden will be upon the one who said it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! My mother has passed away without making a will. If I give charity on her behalf, will it benefit her? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Yes, (but give charity in the form of providing water to people).”

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every human being among the children of Adam is created with three hundred and sixty joints. So whoever says «‏‏‏‏الله اكبر» , says «الحمد لله» , says «لا اله الا الله» , says «سبحان الله» ‏‏‏‏, says «استغفر الله» , removes a stone from the path, or removes a thorn or a bone from the path, or enjoins a good deed, or forbids an evil. (That is,) if he performs such mentioned deeds in the number of three hundred and sixty joints, then he will reach the evening that day in such a state that he has distanced himself from the fire of Hell."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every day on which the sun rises, a charity is due from every joint of the people. (And charity is not only spending wealth, but) reconciling between two people is also charity, helping a man to mount his animal or lifting his belongings onto it is also charity, speaking a good word is also charity, every step taken towards the prayer is also charity, and removing a harmful thing from the road is also charity."

Ibn Adhnan says that I lent Alqamah two thousand dirhams. When the time for repayment came, I went to him and said: "Pay me back my loan." He said: "Give me respite until next year." (I accepted his request and after a year) I came to collect the loan, then after that I came a third time. He said: "You are insistent on troubling me, and you have restrained me." I said: "Yes, that is your own action." He said: "How is it my action?" I said: "Did you not narrate to me from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'A loan is equivalent to half of charity'?" He said: "Yes, it is so." He said: "Now take it."

Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrates from his father, who says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:“Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, he will receive the reward of giving charity of the same amount every day.”After that, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say:“Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, he will receive double the reward of that amount every day.”I said: O Messenger of Allah! I heard you say earlier:“Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, he will receive the reward of giving charity of the same amount every day.”And then I heard:“Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty, he will receive double the reward of that amount every day?”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Until the repayment of the debt is due, he will receive the reward of giving charity of that amount every day, and when the debt becomes due (according to the agreement) but he still grants respite, (in that case) he will receive double the reward of that amount.”

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity and do not hoard (your wealth), otherwise Allah will withhold from you." This hadith is narrated from Sayyidah Asma and Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with them both). The wording of Sayyidah Asma's (may Allah be pleased with her) narration is as follows: She used to save her wealth, and she says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! I have no wealth except what (my husband) Zubair has given me, can I give charity from it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity and do not keep it saved, otherwise Allah will withhold from you."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Woe to those who possess much wealth and property, except for the one who spends his wealth like this, and like this, and like this, and like this—on his right, on his left, in front of him, and behind him (that is, he gives charity abundantly in all four directions)."
