It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "This very pulpit of mine is at one of the gates of Paradise."

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The legs of my pulpit are fixed in Paradise." This hadith is narrated from Lady Umm Salamah and Sayyiduna Abu Waqqad (may Allah be pleased with them both).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The valley of Bathan is upon one of the gardens of Paradise."

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said about the Jews: "I ask them about the soil of Paradise, which is white like fine flour." Then he asked them. They said: O Abu al-Qasim! It is like bread. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bread is also made from fine flour."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The combs of the people of Paradise will be of gold and in their incense burners (for burning) there will be fragrant wood."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The first thing that the people of Paradise will eat will be the extra lobe of the fish's liver."

Abu Hassan says that I told Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that two of my sons have passed away. Can you narrate any hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that would give us patience and comfort regarding our deceased? He said: Yes, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The (believers’) young children will be the little ones of Paradise (i.e., they will come and go in Paradise without restriction). Such a child will meet his father or his parents, take hold of his hand, just as I have taken hold of the edge of your garment, and he will not let go until Allah, the Exalted, admits him and his father both into Paradise.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“For the martyr, there are these rewards with Allah Almighty: (1) With the very first drop of his blood, he is forgiven. (2) He sees his place in Paradise. (3) He is adorned with the adornment of faith. (4) He will be married to seventy wide-eyed maidens of Paradise. (5) He will be kept safe from the punishment of the grave. (6) He will be secure from the great terror (of the Day of Resurrection). (7) A crown of dignity will be placed on his head, one pearl of which is better than the world and whatever is in it, and (8) his intercession will be accepted for seventy members of his household.”

Masruq says that I asked Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) about this verse: «وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ» (3-Aal Imran:169) "Do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive and are provided sustenance with their Lord." He said: Be aware, we had asked about this verse, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave this answer: "The souls of the martyrs are inside green birds, for them there are lamps hanging from the Throne, they roam freely in Paradise wherever they wish, and then return to those lamps. Their Lord looks at them from above and says: (Do you) want anything more? They say: What more could we desire, we roam in Paradise as we wish, (what else should we ask for)?" Allah repeats this three times. When they see that they are being compelled to ask for something more, they say: O our Lord! Return our souls to our bodies so that we may be martyred again in Your path. When Allah sees that they have no further need, He leaves them (in their state)."

Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“If something less than the size of a fingernail from Paradise were to be made manifest in (the world), the edges of the heavens and the earth would be illuminated. If any inhabitant of Paradise were to look (into the world) and his bracelets became visible, then (in the brilliance of those) the light of the sun would become dim, just as the sun extinguishes the light of the stars.”
