It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done, and whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done, he would have it done on the veins on both sides of the neck. A slave of Banu Bayadah used to perform cupping for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), for which he would receive one and a half mudd of wheat daily as wages. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke to his masters about this, so they reduced it by half a mudd. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him his wages; if this wage had been unlawful, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would never have given it to him.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Twelve thousand men will set out from Aden to help Allah and His Messenger; these people will be the best among all people between me and them."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the mother of Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, he was not present with her at that time. Later, he presented himself in the court of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! My mother passed away in my absence, so if I give some charity on her behalf, will she benefit from it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Yes!”Upon this, he said: Then I make you a witness that I have a garden, and I have given it in charity on her behalf.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Once, near the Ka‘bah, Jibreel (peace be upon him) led me in prayer. He led me in the Zuhr prayer when the sun had passed its zenith and a strap’s length of time had elapsed. He led me in the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything became equal to its length. He led me in the Maghrib prayer at the time when the fasting person breaks his fast. He led me in the ‘Isha prayer after the twilight had disappeared. And he led me in the Fajr prayer at the time when eating and drinking becomes forbidden for the fasting person. Then, on the next day, he led me in the Zuhr prayer when the shadow of everything became equal to its length, and he led me in the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything became twice its length. He led me in the Maghrib prayer at the time when the fasting person breaks his fast. He led me in the ‘Isha prayer in the first third of the night, and he led me in the Fajr prayer when it was well lit. Then he turned to me and said: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! This has been the time of the Prophets (peace be upon them) before you; the time for prayer is between these two times.”
