Musnad Ahmad
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا
Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 3116
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن بكر ، اخبرنا ابن جريج . وحجاج ، عن ابن جريج ، قال: اخبرني عمرو بن دينار ، ان ابا الشعثاء اخبره، ان ابن عباس اخبره" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نكح ميمونة وهو حرام".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) while he was in the state of Ihram.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 1837 ، م: 1410
Hadith Number: 3117
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن بكر ، اخبرنا ابن جريج ، اخبرنا ابو الزبير ، انه سمع طاوسا وعكرمة مولى ابن عباس، يخبران، عن ابن عباس ، انه قال: جاءت ضباعة بنت الزبير بن عبد المطلب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالت: يا رسول الله، إني امراة ثقيلة، وإني اريد الحج، فكيف تامرني كيف اهل؟ قال:" اهلي واشترطي ان محلي حيث حبستني". قال: فادركت.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyidah Dubaa‘ah bint Zubair bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! I am a heavy woman and intend to perform Hajj. How do you instruct me to enter into Ihram? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you enter into Ihram, make a condition that I will become lawful (i.e., exit Ihram) at the place, O Allah, where You restrain me." Thus, she performed Hajj.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 1208
Hadith Number: 3118
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن جعفر وحجاج قالا: حدثنا شعبة ، عن محمد بن جحادة ، عن ابي صالح ، عن ابن عباس ، قال:" لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زائرات القبور، والمتخذين عليها المساجد والسرج". قال حجاج: قال شعبة: اره يعني اليهود.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the women who do (unlawful acts) in the graveyards, and also those who build mosques over graves and illuminate them.
حكم دارالسلام: حسن لغيره، دون قوله : والسرج وهذا إسناد ضعيف، أبو صالح باذام ضعيف عند الجمهور
Hadith Number: 3119
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة . وحجاج ، قال: حدثني شعبة ، عن قتادة ، عن موسى بن سلمة ، قال: سالت ابن عباس :" كيف اصلي إذا كنت بمكة، إذا لم اصل مع الإمام؟ فقال: ركعتين، سنة ابي القاسم صلى الله عليه وسلم".
Musa bin Salamah says that once I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when I am in Makkah Mukarramah and cannot pray with the Imam, how many rak'ahs should I pray? He replied: Two rak'ahs, because this is the Sunnah of Abul Qasim (peace be upon him).

Hadith Number: 3120
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجاج ، اخبرنا شريك ، عن سماك ، عن عكرمة ، عن ابن عباس ، قال: اجنب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وميمونة، فاغتسلت ميمونة في جفنة، وفضلت فضلة، فاراد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يغتسل منها، فقالت: يا رسول الله، إني قد اغتسلت منه. فقال: يعني النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن الماء ليست عليه جنابة" او قال:" إن الماء لا ينجس".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) were both in a state requiring ghusl. Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) performed ghusl of janabah from a tub of water, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to perform ghusl from the water left over by her. Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I have performed ghusl from it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Nothing makes water impure.”
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف شريك، واضطراب سماك فى عكرمة
Hadith Number: 3121
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجاج ، حدثنا شريك ، عن الاعمش ، عن الفضيل بن عمرو ، قال: اراه عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، قال" تمتع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم". فقال: عروة بن الزبير نهى ابو بكر وعمر عن المتعة، فقال ابن عباس: ما يقول عرية؟ قال: يقول: نهى ابو بكر وعمر عن المتعة. فقال ابن عباس: اراهم سيهلكون! اقول: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، ويقول: نهى ابو بكر وعمر.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Hajj Tamattu'. Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The two Shaykhs (Abu Bakr and Umar) used to prohibit it? Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked: What is Urwah saying? People informed him that he is saying: The two Shaykhs prohibited it? Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: It seems these people will be ruined; I am saying that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and they are saying that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) prohibited it.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، شريك سيئ الحفظ
Hadith Number: 3122
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجاج ، حدثنا شريك ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن التميمي ، عن ابن عباس ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لقد امرت بالسواك، حتى ظننت انه سينزل به علي قرآن، او وحي".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was commanded regarding the miswak with such emphasis that I began to fear that perhaps a verse of the Qur'an would be revealed to me about it (and my ummah would not be able to fulfill this command)."
حكم دارالسلام: حسن لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، التميمي مجهول، وشريك بن عبدالله سيئ الحفظ، ولكنه توبع
Hadith Number: 3123
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجاج ، حدثنا ليث ، حدثنا عقيل ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة ، عن ابن عباس ، انه قال:" شرب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لبنا، ثم دعا بماء، فمضمض، ثم قال: إن له دسما".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once drank milk and then rinsed his mouth and said, "It has greasiness in it."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 211، م: 385
Hadith Number: 3124
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجاج ، عن ابن جريج ، قال: اخبرني يعلى بن مسلم ، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، انه قال: نزلت يايها الذين آمنوا اطيعوا الله واطيعوا الرسول واولي الامر منكم سورة النساء آية 59 في عبد الله بن حذافة بن قيس بن عدي السهمي،" إذ بعثه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في السرية".
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the statement of Allah Almighty: «﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللّٰهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ﴾ [النساء: 59] » "O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you." was revealed regarding Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hudhafah Qais bin Adi Sahmi (may Allah be pleased with him) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him on an expedition.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 4584، م : 1834
Hadith Number: 3125
حدثنا حدثنا هشيم ، اخبرنا ابو بشر ، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، قال جمعت المحكم في عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم،" وقبض النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وانا ابن عشر حجج". قال: فقلت له: وما المحكم؟ قال: المفصل.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The chapters which you call "Mufassalat" are in fact "Muhkamat." At the time of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) passing, I was ten years old, and by that time I had recited all the Muhkamat.
