Sayyiduna Umar bin Shas, who was among the Companions of Hudaybiyyah, says that I set out from Yemen with Sayyiduna Ali. During the journey, I suffered some injustice from him, because of which a burden against him developed in my heart. That is why, upon reaching Madinah, I expressed this complaint before the people in the mosque. Eventually, this matter reached the Prophet The next day, when I entered the mosque, I saw that the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was sitting with some of his companions. When he saw me, he looked at me sharply, and when I sat down, he said: "Amr, by Allah, you have hurt me." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I seek refuge with Allah from hurting you." The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Why not? Whoever has hurt Ali has hurt me."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suwadah bin Rabi that once I presented myself before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and requested some assistance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that a camel be given to me. Then he said to me: When you return home, instruct your family to keep good quality seeds for sowing, to cut their nails, and when milking animals, not to injure the teats of the animals with their nails so that they become bloodied.

Sayyiduna Dhi’l-Jawshan says that before accepting Islam, I came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) after he had finished with the people of Badr. I brought with me the foal of my horse. I came and said,“O Muhammad, I have brought you the foal of my horse so that you may buy it.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“At the moment, I have no need for it. However, if you wish, I can give you some Badr shields in exchange for it.”I said,“Today, I would not give this horse even in exchange for a slave.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“Then I have no need for it either.”Then he said,“O Dhi’l-Jawshan, why do you not become a Muslim so that you may be among the earliest people of this religion?”I said,“No.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked,“Why?”I replied,“I have seen that your people have deprived you of your right.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked,“Do you not know anything about those killed at Badr?”I said,“I know. Will you be able to overcome and subdue Makkah?”The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“If you live, you will surely see that day.”Then he said to Sayyiduna Bilal,“Take his bag and fill it with Ajwa dates so that he has provisions for the journey.”When I turned my back to leave, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“He is the best among Banu Amir.”I was still with my family in Ghuz when a rider came. I asked,“Where are you going?”He said,“I am coming from Makkah.”I asked,“What is the situation of the people?”He said,“The Prophet (peace be upon him) has prevailed over them.”I expressed regret and said,“If I had become Muslim that day and asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) for the city called Hira, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would have given it to me.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ubaid that once he cooked meat in a pot for the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Give me its foreleg." So I took it out and gave it to him. After a little while, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked for the second and third (foreleg), and I gave those as well. After a little while, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked again. I said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon you), how many forelegs does a goat have?"
