Hadith of Al-Harith ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 15972
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Harith bin Amr that during the Farewell Pilgrimage, I met the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! May my father be sacrificed for you, please pray for my forgiveness. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: May Allah forgive all of you. At that time, the Prophet (peace be upon him) was riding a she-camel named Adhba. I went around to the other side hoping that perhaps the Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray specifically for me, and again I requested: Please pray for my forgiveness. The Prophet (peace be upon him) again said: May Allah forgive all of you. Meanwhile, a man asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the ruling on slaughtering the first offspring of an animal or offering a sacrifice in the month of Rajab? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever wishes to slaughter the first offspring of an animal may do so, and whoever does not wish to, may refrain. Similarly, whoever wishes to offer a sacrifice in the month of Rajab may do so, and whoever does not wish to, may refrain. However, sacrifice can also be done with a goat. Then he said: Remember, your lives and wealth are as sacred to each other as the sanctity of this day in this city.

Hadith of Sahl ibn Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 15973
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif that I used to suffer from frequent discharge of madhy (pre-seminal fluid), because of which I had to perform ghusl (ritual bath) frequently. One day I asked the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about this matter. He said: "Wudu (ablution) is sufficient for you." I asked: "What about the drops that get on the clothes?" He said: "It is sufficient for you to take water in your palm and sprinkle it wherever you see its traces."
Hadith Number: 15974
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif that do not always consider your own opinion to be correct. I witnessed the day of Abu Jandal; if we had the courage to reject any command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we would have done so on that day. By Allah, after accepting Islam, whenever we laid down our swords in a distressing matter, it became easy for us—except in the case that whenever we blocked the way for one party, the way for the other would open.

Habib bin Abi Thabit says that once I came to Abu Wa'il in the mosque of his house so that I could ask him about those people whom Sayyiduna Ali killed at Nahrawan—what command of Sayyiduna Ali did they accept, and in what did they differ? And on what basis did Sayyiduna Ali consider fighting them permissible? He said: We were at Siffin, and when the number of the slain from the people of Syria increased, they climbed up a mound. Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-As said to Sayyiduna Amir Muawiyah: Send a copy of the Noble Qur'an to Sayyiduna Ali and invite him to the Book of Allah; he will not refuse your proposal in any way. Accordingly, a man came to Sayyiduna Ali with this message and said: The Book of Allah is the arbiter between us and you. And he recited this verse: "Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of Allah so that it may judge between them..." The Book of Allah is the arbiter between us and you. After this, the Khawarij, whom we used to call Qurra at that time, came to Sayyiduna Ali with their swords hanging on their shoulders and said: O Commander of the Faithful, what are we waiting for regarding these people who are on the mound? Should we not attack them with our swords until Allah decides between us and them? At this, Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif spoke and said: O people, do not always consider yourselves to be right. We have also seen the day of Hudaybiyyah, in which there was a peace treaty between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the polytheists. If we had wanted to fight, we could have done so. During this, Sayyiduna Umar presented himself in the court of the Messenger (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Are we not upon the truth and are they not upon falsehood? Will not our slain go to Paradise and their slain to Hell? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Why not? He said: Then why should we accept humiliation in our religion and make peace, and return in such a way that Allah has not yet decided between us and them? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: O Ibn Khattab, I am the Messenger of Allah; He will never forsake me. Sayyiduna Umar returned in anger and could not be patient. He went to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and the same questions and answers took place. Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar said: He is the Messenger of Allah, and Allah will never forsake him. After this, Surah Al-Fath was revealed, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent me to Sayyiduna Umar and recited this Surah to him. Sayyiduna Umar said: O Messenger of Allah! Is this a victory? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Yes.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A people will come from the east who will wander astray and their heads will be shaved. Someone asked about Madinah Munawwarah, so he said: It is a sanctuary and a place of safety and security.

It is narrated from Yasir bin Amr that once I was present in the service of Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif and I requested him: Tell me a hadith that you heard from the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding the Haruriyyah sect. He said: I will only relate to you what I have heard, I do not say anything more than that. I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) mention a people who will emerge from here, and he pointed towards Iraq. Those people will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the prey. The narrator says: I asked him, did the Prophet (peace be upon him) mention any sign of them? He replied: What I heard is what I have told you, I cannot say anything more than that.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif that once we passed by a stream of water in a certain area. I began to bathe in it, and when I came out, I had developed a fever. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found out, he said: Tell Abu Thabit to recite the words of seeking refuge and blow over himself. I said: O Messenger of Allah, can incantations (ruqyah) also be done? He said: Incantations are only permissible in the case of the evil eye, snake bite, or scorpion sting.
