Chapter on Friday Prayer - Mention of Allah’s forgiveness for those who attend Friday prayer with its conditions until the next Friday
Hadith Number: 2776
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah and purifies himself as much as possible, then applies oil or uses perfume from his house, then goes out for Jumu'ah and does not separate two people (i.e., does not push between them), then prays as much as is written for him (i.e., Sunnah or Nafl prayers), then when the Imam comes out, he remains silent (and listens to his sermon), then his sins between this Jumu'ah and the next Jumu'ah are forgiven."

Chapter on Friday Prayer - Instruction to have two clean garments worn only on Friday for those whom Allah has blessed
Hadith Number: 2777
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon on the day of Jumu'ah. He saw work clothes on the bodies of the people. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no (harm) upon any of you, if he has the means, to wear two garments for Jumu'ah that are other than his work (i.e., labor) clothes."

Chapter on Friday Prayer - Clarification that using the toothstick and wearing one’s best clothes are among the conditions for Friday that expiate sins between two Fridays
Hadith Number: 2778
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: We heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say:“Whoever performs ghusl on Friday, uses the miswak, applies perfume if he has it, wears fine clothes, then goes to the mosque and does not step over people’s necks, then offers as many voluntary prayers as Allah wills, then remains silent when the imam comes until he completes the prayer, then this will be an expiation for the sins committed between this Friday and the previous Friday.”

Chapter on Friday Prayer - Clarification that this virtue may also be for those who perform ablution and come to Friday prayer with these qualities, even without a full bath
Hadith Number: 2779
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Whoever performs ablution well, then comes for Jumu’ah, listens (to the sermon) and remains silent, his sins from this Jumu’ah to the next Jumu’ah and an additional three days are forgiven. And whoever touches the pebbles has engaged in idle behavior.”(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Whoever does not have expertise in the science of hadith falls into the misunderstanding that from one Jumu’ah to the next Jumu’ah there are eight days. However, this is not the case, because the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say that from one Jumu’ah to the next Jumu’ah his sins are forgiven. The time for Jumu’ah is after the sun passes its zenith. So, from the time the sun passes its zenith on Jumu’ah to the next Jumu’ah’s zenith is seven days, and the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that there are an additional three days, thus it becomes a total of ten days. Allah the Exalted has said:“Whoever does a good deed, it is multiplied tenfold.”This is the matter. Regarding which we have mentioned in our books that when a person acts in obedience to Allah the Exalted, Allah forgives, because of that, those sins which he does not commit afterwards.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah and performs ghusl well, then wears good clothes, applies perfume available in his house or applies oil, then the sins committed between that Jumu'ah and the next Jumu'ah, and in addition to that, for three more days, are forgiven."

Chapter on Friday Prayer - Clarification that Allah, by His grace, gives the one coming to Friday prayer with certain qualities the reward of a year’s worship for every step
Hadith Number: 2781
Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say:“Whoever performs ghusl on the day of Jumu’ah and performs ghusl well, then goes early and walks (to the mosque), sits near (the Imam), listens attentively to the sermon, remains silent, and does not engage in any idle action, Allah Almighty will grant him for every step the reward of one hundred years of (supererogatory) fasting and prayers.”(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him),“Whoever gives ghusl,”means that he washes his head. And the statement,“Whoever performs ghusl,”means that he washes his body, because people used to have long hair, so they needed to wash it thoroughly. And the statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him),“He goes early and hastens,”means that he hastens for ghusl and goes early for Jumu’ah.

Chapter on Friday Prayer - Narration confirming our interpretation of the statement“washed and bathed”
Hadith Number: 2782
Tawoos Yamani narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): People say that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should perform ghusl (ritual bath) on the day of Jumu'ah and wash your head, except if you are in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity), and you should also apply perfume." So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: As for perfume, I do not know about it; as for ghusl, that is correct. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "except if you are in a state of janabah," contains evidence that performing ghusl of janabah on the day of Jumu'ah after the break of dawn is sufficient in place of the ghusl for Jumu'ah. In this, there is evidence that performing ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah is not obligatory, because if it were obligatory, then one of the two ghusls would not suffice in place of the other.

Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The prayer of travel, the prayer of Eid al-Fitr, the prayer of Eid al-Adha, and the Friday prayer are two rak'ahs, and this is a complete prayer; there is no shortening in it. This matter is established from the words of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We will be the first on the Day of Resurrection, and the reason for this is that the Book was given to those people before us and it was given to us after them. And this is the day that was made obligatory upon them, but they differed regarding it, so Allah Almighty guided us towards it. Thus, regarding this day, those people are our followers; the day of the Jews is tomorrow (i.e., Saturday) and the day of the Christians is the day after tomorrow (i.e., Sunday)."
