It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Satan has despaired of being worshipped by the worshippers (i.e., Muslims) in the Arabian Peninsula, but he will continue to incite them to discord."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: When the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) conquered Makkah, Iblis began to cry with a sorrowful voice, and his army gathered around him. He said: Despair, for after today we will not be able to see the Ummah of Muhammad ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) involved in shirk. Now, create tribulations in their religion and spread lamentation widely.

Sayyiduna Sabrah bin Abu Fakaha (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:“Satan sits in ambush for the son of Adam (to mislead him) at his various paths. He sits on the path of Islam and says (to the one about to become Muslim): ‘Will you accept Islam and leave the religion of your forefathers?’ But the son of Adam disobeys him and accepts Islam. Then he sits on the path of migration and says to him: ‘Are you going to migrate and leave your land and sky (i.e., your area and inheritance)? The example of a migrant is like a horse tied to a rope.’ But he disobeys him and migrates. Then he sits on the path of jihad and says: ‘Are you going for jihad? (Look,) this is a task of hardship and toil, your wealth will be spent, if you fight you will be killed, someone else will marry your wife, and your wealth will be distributed among your heirs.’ But he rejects his opinion and performs jihad.”

Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Whoever does so (with Satan), it is a right upon Allah to admit him into Paradise. And whoever is martyred, it is a right upon Allah to admit him into Paradise. If he is drowned, it is incumbent upon Allah to admit him into Paradise. And if his mount throws him and he dies as a result of his «ی گر» being broken, it is a right upon Allah to admit him into Paradise.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the evil eye can make a person insane by the command of Allah Almighty, to the extent that (sometimes it happens that) he climbs to a high place and then falls from there."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no contagious disease, nor is there any reality in bad omens, and the evil eye is true."

Ubayd bin Rifaqi Sarqi reports: Sayyidah Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! The children of Ja'far are very quickly affected by the evil eye. Should I perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) for them? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, for if anything could precede destiny, it would be the evil eye."

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will be a great liar among the tribe of Thaqif and a destroyer (i.e., one who causes destruction)." This hadith is narrated from Lady Asma bint Abu Bakr Siddiq, Abdullah bin Umar, and Salamah bint Jafiyah (may Allah be pleased with them). It is narrated from Lady Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to Hajjaj: Be aware! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that "there will be a great liar among the tribe of Thaqif and a destroyer." We have seen the liar; as for the destroyer, I think that it is you.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The hearts of the children of Adam are between two fingers of the Most Merciful, like one heart. He turns them as He wills." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made this supplication: "O Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts towards Your obedience."

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After me, there will come people who would love to sacrifice their family and wealth just to see me."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Just as there are signs and marks on a road, there are also some signs and marks of Islam. Some of them are: to have faith in Allah and not to associate anyone with Him, to establish prayer, to pay zakat, to fast in Ramadan, to perform Hajj to the House of Allah, to enjoin good, to forbid evil, to greet one’s family when entering the house, and to greet people when passing by them. Whoever falls short in any of these matters, it means that he has abandoned a part of Islam, and whoever abandons all of these things, he has turned his back on Islam (or has cast Islam behind him).”
