Hadith Number: 4868
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was cursing one of his slaves. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at him and said: "(Can) one who curses and the truthful (Siddiqeen) be together? By the Lord of the Ka'bah! Never." So Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) freed some of his slaves that day (as expiation), then came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I will not do so again. Imam Bayhaqi has narrated all five hadiths in Shu'ab al-Iman. Hasan, narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.

(Seeing this scene) Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: May Allah forgive you! Leave it. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, replied: It has brought me to the pits of destruction. It is narrated from ‘Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Guarantee me six things from yourselves and I will guarantee you Paradise: When you speak, speak the truth; when you make a promise, fulfill it; when something is entrusted to you, return it; guard your private parts; lower your gaze; and restrain your hands (from injustice).”Its chain is weak. Narrated by Ahmad and al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Iman.

It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm and Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best servants of Allah are those who, when they are seen, Allah is remembered. 4873 - وعن ابن عباس - رضي الله عنهما - ان رجلين صليا صلاة الظهر او العصر، وكانا صائمين، فلما قضى النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - الصلاة قال:"اعيدا وضوءكما وصلاتكما، وامضيا في صومكما، واقضياه يوما آخر". قالا: لم يا رسول الله؟ قال:"اغتبتم فلانا".
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, that two men performed the Zuhr or Asr prayer while they were fasting. When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had finished the prayer, he said: "Both of you should repeat your ablution, repeat the prayer, complete your fast, and make up for it on another day." Both of them asked: O Messenger of Allah! Why? He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You have backbitten such-and-such person." Its chain is weak. Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.

Abu Sa'id and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them) report that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Backbiting is more severe than adultery." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah! How is backbiting more severe than adultery?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, a man commits adultery, then he repents, and Allah accepts his repentance." In another narration: "He repents, and Allah forgives him. Whereas the one who commits backbiting is not forgiven until the person about whom he backbit has forgiven him." Its chain is very weak. Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman, also.

4876 - وفي رواية انس - رضي الله عنه - قال:"صاحب الزنا يتوب، وصاحب الغيبة ليس له توبة". روى البيهقي الاحاديث الثلاثة في"شعب الإيمان".
And in the narration of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), it is stated: "The one who commits adultery repents, whereas there is no repentance for the one who backbites." (Because he does not consider it important that this is also a sin, and thus he is unable to repent.) Imam Bayhaqi has narrated all three hadiths in Shu'ab al-Iman. Its chain of narration is weak. Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.

Forgive us and him." (Bayhaqi in Al-Da'awat Al-Kabir). And he said: There is weakness in its chain of narration. Its chain is weak. It is narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Al-Da'awat Al-Kabir.

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away and wealth came to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) from Alaa bin Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever had a debt upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or to whom he had promised to give something, let him come to us (we will pay that debt and fulfill his promise)." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) promised me that he would give me such and such and such," and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) spread his hands three times. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that he gave me a handful, and when I counted them, they were five hundred. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Take the same amount two more times." Agreed upon.

Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: I saw the Messenger of Allah with a (reddish) white complexion, and some of his hair had turned white, and Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) resembled him (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him). He (the Prophet) ordered thirteen she-camels for us. When we went to take them, the news of his death reached us, so we did not get anything. However, when Abu Bakr assumed the responsibility of the caliphate, he said: If anyone has any promise from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), let him come. I went to him and informed him, so he ordered that camels be given to us. Sahih, narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
