Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: We set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when five days of Dhu al-Qa'dah were left; our intention was only to perform Hajj. When we reached the place of "Sarif" or near it, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave this order: whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him should convert it to 'Umrah. Then, when we were in Mina, beef was brought. I asked: Where did this come from? People said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives. The narrator named Yahya says: I narrated this tradition to Qasim, so he said: By Allah! This woman has narrated this tradition to you exactly correctly.

Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I used to make garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with my own two hands, and after that, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would not avoid anything that a person in the state of Ihram avoids.

Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I used to make garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with my own two hands, then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would not refrain from anything from which a person in the state of ihram refrains, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would not leave anything (which a person in the state of ihram leaves). Sayyidah Aisha narrates: To our knowledge, a pilgrim becomes completely halal (permissible) when he has performed the circumambulation (tawaf) of the House of Allah (the Ka'bah).

Abdur Rahman bin Qasim narrates from his father: I heard Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) say, as she spread out her hands: I applied perfume to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with these two hands of mine at the time when he put on the Ihram, and again applied perfume to him at the time when he ended his Ihram before performing the Tawaf of the House (Ka'bah).

Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) states: We give fatwa according to this.

Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: With these two hands of mine, I applied perfume to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at the time when he put on the Ihram, and I applied perfume to him at the time when he opened his Ihram before performing the Tawaf of the House of Allah.

Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: Sufyan did not initially narrate this report from Zuhri; once we pointed this out to him, he said: I have heard this from Zuhri.

Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When you have stoned the Jamrah, slaughtered the animal, and shaved your head, then everything that was forbidden for you becomes permissible, except for women and perfume, whose ruling is different. Salim bin Abdullah narrates: Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I applied perfume to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time when he put on the Ihram, and I applied perfume to him at the time when he opened his Ihram after stoning the Jamrah and before performing the Tawaf al-Ziyarah. Salim says: The Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is more deserving to be followed.

Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I applied perfume to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of entering into Ihram and at the time of exiting from Ihram. (The narrator says) I asked: Which perfume? She replied: The best of perfumes.

Sufyan says: Uthman bin Urwah told me this, that Hisham bin Urwah narrated this report only on my authority.

Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I saw the shine of fragrance in the parting of the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even after three days had passed, although he (peace be upon him) was in the state of Ihram at that time.

Ibrahim bin Muhammad narrates from his father: I asked Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about applying perfume at the time of entering into Ihram. He replied: I do not like it; I prefer to enter the morning in the state of Ihram with the scent of perfume on me, and I would rather apply tar than that. My father says: One of the sons of Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) sent a message to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so that she could inform his father about Aisha’s response. Then the messenger came and informed: Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has stated that she used to apply perfume to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) remained silent.
