Chapter: Recommendation to remember Allah during tawaf
Hadith Number: 2738
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, the stoning of the Jamarat and the circumambulation of the Sacred House (the Ka'bah), all of these have been prescribed for the remembrance of Allah Almighty, and for no other purpose." The narration of Janab Bundar ends with these words. In the narration of other narrators, there is this addition: that the purpose of performing Sa'i between Safa and Marwah is also the remembrance of Allah Almighty.

Chapter: Permission to speak good words during tawaf and prohibition of bad speech
Hadith Number: 2739
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the Sacred House is like prayer, except that you are permitted to speak during it. Therefore, whoever speaks should only speak good and virtuous words." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered, during Tawaf, the person who was making another man perform Tawaf by putting a leather rope in his nose, that he should make him perform Tawaf by holding his hand. This hadith is also related to the chapter of speaking good and excellent words. I have mentioned this hadith in another chapter. (See Hadith number 2751)

Chapter: Performing tawaf outside the Hijr (Hatim)
Hadith Number: 2740
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hatim is a part of the House of Allah, because the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed the circumambulation (tawaf) of the Sacred House from outside the Hatim. And Allah Almighty has said: «وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ» [ سورة الحج: 29 ] "And let them circumambulate the Ancient House (the Ka'bah)." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that these words, "Hatim is a part of the House of Allah," are of the same kind, about which we clarify in several places in our books that sometimes the application of a definite noun with 'al' (the) is used for a part of something, not the whole. The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to pray in the Hatim and said: "Hatim is a part of the House of Allah." By this, he meant that some of the Hatim is a part of the House of Allah, not the entire Hatim. Similarly, by the statement of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Hatim is from the House of Allah," he did not mean that the entire Hatim is a part of the House of Allah, but rather that some part of the Hatim is a part of the House of Allah. As Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has informed from the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) that some part of the Hatim is from the House of Allah, not the whole Hatim.

Hadith Number: Q2741
Statement of the evidence for its authenticity and the explanation that not the entire portion of Hatim is part of the House of Allah, but rather only some of Hatim is part of the House of Allah.
Hadith Number: 2741
Hazrat Abdullah bin Ubaid narrates that during the reign of Abdul Malik bin Marwan, Harith bin Abdullah went to him as an envoy. Abdul Malik said, "I think that Abu Khubaib, i.e., Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), did not hear that hadith from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) which he claims to have heard." Harith said, "Why not, I too have heard that hadith from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)." Abdul Malik asked, "What did you hear Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) say?" Harith said, "Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, your people have reduced the foundations of the House (Ka'bah), and if they had not just recently left shirk and become Muslims, I would have included that part in the foundations of the House which they had left out. Therefore, if after me your people wish to build the House (on its original foundations), then come, I will show you the part which they had left out.' So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) showed Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) a space of about sixty cubits (which was not included in the Ka'bah and is called Hatim or Hijr)." This narration is from Abdullah bin Ubaid. Walid bin Ata has added that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I would have made two doors of the House at ground level, one on the eastern side and the other on the western side. Do you know why your people kept the door of the House elevated?" I said, "No." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Out of pride and arrogance, so that only the person whom they allowed could enter the Sacred House. And when a person whom they disliked tried to enter by climbing up, they would let him climb, and when he was about to enter the House, they would push him and make him fall." Abdul Malik asked Harith, "Did you yourself hear Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrate this hadith?" He replied, "Yes, I heard it." Upon this, Abdul Malik lowered his head and scratched the ground for a while, then said, "I wish I had left the House (Ka'bah) on the foundations built by Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them both), and left the responsibility of rebuilding the House to those who had taken it upon themselves." The wording of all the narrators is the same, only in Muhammad's narration the wording is different. Walid bin Ata bin Janab narrates that Harith said, "I heard this hadith from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)." Harith was one who confirmed this hadith, not one who denied or rejected it. Abdul Malik asked, "What did you hear Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) say?" Harith replied, "I heard her saying that the Messenger of Allah said, and he said: 'I would have made two doors for it.' And he said: 'They would let that person climb up.'"

Chapter: Reason why the Prophet performed tawaf outside the Hijr
Hadith Number: Q2742
When the one performing tawaf around the structure of the House leaves the Hijr behind him, he is not performing tawaf around the entire Kaaba, since part of the Hijr is from the Kaaba, as the Mustafa (peace and blessings be upon him) informed. And Allah—Mighty and Majestic—commanded tawaf around the Ancient House, not part of it.

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If your people had not recently come out of disbelief and embraced Islam, I would have demolished the House of Allah and rebuilt it upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Because the Quraysh, when constructing it, had made its foundations smaller, and I would have made a door at the back of the noble Ka'bah." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the meaning of "Khalf-an" is, he would have made another door at the back. Salm bin Junadah narrated this from Abu Muawiyah from Hisham, but in it, the word "li" (for me) is not mentioned.

Imam Nafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) intended to perform Hajj, then said,“I will make it an ‘Umrah. If I am prevented on the way, I will do as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did (at the time of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah).”Then when he reached the place of Bayda’, he said,“In my opinion, the ruling of Hajj and ‘Umrah is the same. Therefore, I make you witnesses that I have made Hajj obligatory along with my ‘Umrah (i.e., I have made the intention of Qiran Hajj).”Then when he reached the place of Qudayd, he bought a sacrificial camel and took it with him until he reached Makkah Mukarramah. Then he performed Tawaf of the Sacred House (Baytullah), and offered two rak‘ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim, and performed Sa‘i between Safa and Marwah. Then he said,“I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing likewise.”
