Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever makes a picture will be punished by being told to put a soul into it, and he will not be able to put a soul into it. And whoever narrates a false dream will be made to tie two grains of barley together, and he will be punished for that. And whoever listens to people's conversations secretly while they dislike it, molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection."

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not spy on one another. Do not try to discover each other's hidden matters. Do not envy one another. Do not distance yourselves from one another. Do not harbor malice against one another. Chapter on Disliked Listening, Suspicion, Anger, and Foul Speech – On the obligation to restrain oneself from angering Allah
Hadith Number: 5689
Ahnaf bin Qais narrates the statement of his uncle, Sayyiduna Jariyah bin Qudamah (may Allah be pleased with him): He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me something by which Allah will benefit me, and tell me a brief statement so that I do not become heedless of it." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not become angry." He asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question several times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept giving him the same answer every time: "Do not become angry."

Sayyiduna Jariyah bin Qudamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man presented himself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said, "Please advise me, and grant me a brief advice." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do not get angry." That man asked you the same question again, so you said the same: "Do not get angry."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "Do not get angry," by this he meant: After becoming angry, do not do anything from which I have forbidden you. It does not mean that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has prohibited feeling anger, because anger is part of human nature, and it is impossible to prohibit a person from something that is inherent in his nature. Rather, this prohibition is regarding those actions that result from anger, as we have mentioned.

We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at that time. One of them, in a state of anger, started abusing his companion. That person's face turned red. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I know of a word, if he were to say it, the anger he is experiencing would go away. That word is: "A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim" (I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed devil). The people said to that man: Did you not hear what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said? He replied: I am not mad. (Meaning, I have heard it.)
